19. One minute braid quick bun

This is a variation on the two finger twist hairstick bun, also known as the 10 sec quick bun.

The only thing that is different is that you braid your hair and then start twisting and securing it. I had to change to this style as my signature style since... Read More

18. Log roll

If you have very long hair, this one updo is a nice thing to know how to do.

Make a low ponytail, hold it with your right hand. With the left hand put two fingers on the base, grabbing it and roll it around at least once, making a loop. Make sure to not loosen this loop. This is the base of your roll.

With the right hand start twisting the le... Read More

17. Five strand braid

I have managed to make the five strand braid in my hair, using instructions found on the LHC forums.

Part your hair into five strands, holding the outer strands with your pinky, and move your way in. Then the order again is simple:

1. Weave left under, over
2. Weave right under, over
Repeat as far as you can go, then tie off.

Make sure t... Read More

16. Four strand braid

Yeah, finally something new in here!

I have managed to make the four strand braid in my hair, using instructions found on the LHC forums and adjusting the starting point to avoid an ugly part on my head.

Part your hair into four strands, which are far left, middle left, middle right, far right. The order is simple:

1. Middle left over midd... Read More

Just a shameless plug for now

My hair is growing slowly, I am collecting really nice sticks by having them custom made by amadlife0 (on Ebay), and for now I am patiently awaiting for the ability to make a figure 8 bun. When I can do that one my hair will be long enough to also try other things again AND put them in here!

If you are reading this blog to get some updo ideas, w... Read More

Hiatus for a bit

This is at a break for a while, waiting for more length first.

I still intend to get 52 of the things in here, some way or another, but weekly updates are going to be out of the question for a little while.

Have fun with the ones already there though and hope to update soon! :-)... Read More

15. Flipped up braid

This is a very easy do, one I use for a day where I cannot be bothered to do something interesting with my hair, and it keeps it safe and snug in a clip.

First I make a basic low braid, but I do not tie off the ends. I hold them together as I lift the braid up, fold it inward in half and then clip the hairclip on.

Here is what it looks like o... Read More

14. Two finger twist hairstick bun

This is an easy bun you can flip up in ten seconds, making it ideal for when you need to do the hair up really fast. What you need is one hairstick, two hands and at least arm pit length hair. When you have thick hair you might need either less fingers, or more length to pull this one off.

Form a ponytail to the right of the center and hold it ... Read More

13. Beaded lacer

This is a style that was introduced to me by a friend on a Dutch hair forum that I frequent. You will need quite a length of thick sturdy thread and a number of beads to make things look pretty. On my hair 1.5 meters of lacer was used, 10 beads in total and I am not bra strap length yet.

First of all you have to prepare the lacer. I used ten bea... Read More
