Nintendo DS gets a makeover!

Remember the old, clunky Nintendo DS that came out a while back?
Well, Nintendo has recently released the new Nintendo DS Lite! A smaller, more sleek and comfortable model of the original DS, with more features that I will explain further down! But first lets get a look at the new design.
Not only is it more visually appealing, but it is also a lot easier to hold than the original lunker. I found a couple shots that compare the size of the Lite to the original.
As you can see in this picture, the Lite is much more sleek. It almost even leans towards how the PSP feels when you hold it, which honestly, is pretty nice.
This shot does a nice job of showing us that compared to the Lite, the original looks more like an advanced spacecraft, which frankly, isn't a good sign for a handheld console.
Let's switch gears from the design side of things, to the new features which make the Lite worth the cash!
The feature that won me over was that they upgraded the brightness on the screens of the DS Lite. There are now 3 different brightness levels that you can pick from depending on your lighting conditions. Here is a comparison shot between the orignal and the Lite, notice how vivid the image looks on the Lite compared to the original.
If you're still not sold on the Lite, they upgraded the hinge because the original screen hinge was very fragile. They also redesigned the touch screens and made them more resistant to scratches which is a golden improvement in my opinion.
All in all, I think that Nintendo made a good move by revising the design of the DS as well as adding some new improvements to it. I know that I'm sold, are you?

Welcome gamers of all kind, whether you play MMORPG, FPS, or RTS style games, you are welcome here!
My intentions are to provide you with the latest the video game industry has to offer. I plan on covering topics such as E3 and other gaming conventions. I plan on personally reviewing the latest video game releases and sharing with you my personal opinions and recommendations. Anything game related, or even remotely game related that I find cool or interesting, expect to read about it here!
For those of you who are interested in PC hardware, I will try and throw in some PC hardware reviews here and there so we can stay up to date with the latest video cards and processors.
I will begin adding content to my blog this weekend, so be sure to check back for updates as I will try to keep them coming regularly!
