Mood: why

So I was looking at my sunrise picture, which I took by the way, and all I could do was smile looking at the beauty that is our world. My mind then drifted to why humanity has become so twisted in its logic and ways that we have become what we are today. The world is always in continual balance, the sun rising and setting, the wind, the weather, everything is there to balance something else out. Weather is natures way of reacting to a problem in order to return to equilibrium with itself. But then, there are humans. One of the only species in the world which feels the need to never be balanced.
*Side note: I know it sounds like I'm a tree hugger but I promise, I'm not!*
I have no problem with how humans have developed their world, no, that is not what I mean. What I mean is that mankind cannot seem to find balance in their day to day world. Wars, racism, crime, homelessness, etc... Now one might say that all the above are simply animals fighting and causing nature to bring about another balance. But we, mankind, are the only animals that fight that balance. Disease for instance. With the continual development of better medication we continually stop nature from bringing about equilibrium with us so that we can stand above nature. What inside us causes us to hate eachother. No other species does this. Yes, they may fight for food, survival of the fittest, but that is not the same as a tyrant deciding to kill thousands of people for simply standing up for what they believe in.

Anyways, this rant is kindda getting sidetracked and personally I'm not sure exactly where I'm going with it but to sum up.
Take time outta your days guys just to enjoy the simple rising and setting of the sun, or the birds singing their songs as you rush to work. Enjoy these simple things because they are not things that can be found within mankinds seperate existance from the world.

And what is wrong with being a treehugger?! Nothing, that's what.
Haha. I definitely do agree with you here. I think people are so sidetracked by the notion of distancing themselves from the universe that we forget how to be in balance and in tune. As Aristotle liked to point out, we are rational animals. But we need to balance that rationality with other things as well.
As to your ending comment, I completely agree, as one might imagine.
