Anonymous Comments Restored

Anonymous Comments Restored

Well it seems as though our backup investment for the server paid off. We were able to load all the anonymous comments that happened the morning before they were accidentally erased, which means only a handful were lost (10-20).

Thanks all for the patience and sorry for this inconvenience. But rest assured that we will always have backups of all of Aeonity's data for the past 7 days on hand and we should always be able to restore any data lost within that time.

Questions feel free to let us know, thanks.

Anonymous Comments Erased...Again

Anonymous Comments Erased...Again

Well lovely to say that we found another glitch in the anonymous comment system and once again they have all be erased. Lucky for use we spent the money and upgraded our server to included a replicate backup harddrive. We will be putting it to the test and attempt to restore the anonymous comments in full (within 1-day from the accidental erasure).

We hope to have them all restored this weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience, but most of it is a learning curve with how to use the new backup system.

Questions of concerns please let us know. Thank you.

Aeonity .net & .org not Affiliated with Aeonity.com

We noticed several weeks back that Aeonity.net and Aeonity.org were registered by Keyword Marketing.

Keyword Marketing, Inc. (AEONITY-NET-DOM)
P.O. Box 556
Main Street
Charlestown, West Indies

Again, keep in mind that Aeonity / Emocium LLC. is in no way affiliated with Keyword Marketing INC. in anyway. They are simply a domain parking company that makes there money selling ads on there registered domains. Usually .net's, .org's, .com's etc.

Questions or issues, please comment or use the contact form located at the bottom of Aeonity.com. Many thanks.

Server Downtime for Aeonity October 11th

Server Downtime for Aeonity October 11th

Hello all,

We just found out that we are going to have our server updates put into our server tonight. We are currently backing up all of Aeonity data as of 7:50 AM MST. Please keep a backup of anything you post between that time and tomorrow just in case.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. Currently we do not know what time or how long Aeonity will be down for updates. So as a concerned user, please do not freak out if you see that Aeonity is down, we are expecting it. If it is still down tomorrow, well then alright you can freak out =) But remember we have all data up till 7:50AM MST backed up on our local harddrives.

Aeonity Server Updates Coming Soon!

Server Updates Coming!
We were prompted by an email from CIHost, Aeonity's current hosting company with an end of the month deal. These deals were too good for us to pass up, so we jumped on two key deals. This will cause a server outage which is right now unknown but we will do a full backup of Aeonity before any work is done on the server. When we know the dates and times we will post them up. Here are the features we are Upgrading on Aeonity.

Double our Servers Memory
As everyone knows Memory or RAM is the key to keep your server running smoothly at times of high-traffic. Since Memory is key for that we decided to double our servers memory. Hopefully we will see a speed increase of load times on web pages and for when we expand this will help tremendously to keep our load time speeds at a minimal.

Clone Backup Drive with Daily Backups
Well we have all seen what happens with a slip of the button from past mistakes we have made. Hopefully the Daily backup feature to a cloned Harddrive will prevent this from happening. Currently we are only able to backup once every 15days for all of our sites. So if we have a crash or an accidental mess-up it is possible we are out 15 days worth of data. This should no longer be a cause for concern as everything should now be backed up on a cloned Harddrive daily!

Now you can have un-doubt able faith in Aeonity to have your data backed up and a very low risk of losing any data.

Conclusion
With these new upgrades we hope to continually update Aeonity and bring in more traffic as our server should be ready to handle just about anything. With the daily backups we also hope to have increased faith that Aeonity will not lose your data.

Questions feel free to contact us using the Contact Form.

Free Blog Template Creation

Free Blog Template Creation

Hello everyone!

Well given that we are looking for some new Web v2.0 templates and would love to have some of our users create them we are offering a service so to speak. Basically the deal will be if you can create a normal design with html, not worrying about tieing the design into Aeonity, we will do the implementation!

We will Implement the Templates
We are willing to take any design you give us for a template and implement it into Aeonity code! This means you simply have to create it! Now there will be some rules and guidelines for submitting which we will go over right now.

Rules for Submitting a Blog Template
1. First rule is we will only accept templates through email in a text or html file and or an archive of the files.
2. All images, outside stylesheets, etc must be included with the file.
3. The design must be your own, we will not tolerate you stealing someone else's work to pass it off as your own, unless you provide us with the full source of where you obtained the template.
4. You will be credited on the template.
5. Have fun with it!

What are you waiting for?
Get cracking on the design! Remember we will implement it for you and publish it for Aeonity users! No more hassles or worrying about trying to learn the Aeonity template scheme. As long as the design as actual data in it we will convert it for you! We are hoping that this will inspire the community to know that we, the developers, are willing to split the effort 50/50 with you. We appreciate everyone who submits the template.

Where to Submit
Please submit all templates to:
admin [-at-] aeonity [-dot-] com

Thanks everyone!

Discard Blog Confirmation

Discard Blog Confirmation

A new feature has been added, which is long overdue. You will now be prompted while creating a blog to navigate away from the page!

What does this Mean?
This means that you will no longer lose long entries from accidentally hitting the backspace button, back button or clicking on a link sent from a friend via IM. You will now be able to choose to leave or not. So in the end less frustration as you are less likely to lose long blogs that you wrote due to a simple mistake!

If this feature does not work correctly please contact us so we can fix it. Thanks everyone!
