Tonight on the harbor there's going to be a great fireworks display in honor of Guy Fawkes' botched attempt to blow up the British parliament. People will probably be burning effigies of him as well. My kind of holiday. In other news, two of my flatmates just left for home this morning. They were good people and I'll miss them. We came to New Zealand in the dead of winter and now they're leaving for the states where it is now, in fact, winter. Didn't think that one through did ya guys? |
