As some of you know, I started working at the local Post Office on February. I deliver mail at 1/4 of the city, and I’m loving my job. I was really glad to get my first salary and, since my parents, my brother and I don’t usually go to the Theather or to the Cinema, I decided to bye tickets to watch a play. Two very known Portuguese actresses were coming and I was curious to watch them on stage live!
Though the story was sorta heavy and dramatic, I liked it and enjoyed to notice the difference between professionals and amateurs playing on stage. The two actresses were Sofia Alves and Manuela Maria. I always admired Sofia Alves since I was a kid. She always captured my attention and she’s a very talented actress.
When I went to the Theater I thought I wanted to ask Sofia to sign on my ticket, but never thought I’d really do it. I was too shy to do it. After all, she’s popular, and maybe she wouldn’t care. But I was also curious to meet the person behing the scenes, behind the character.
The play was very well performed. I was able to experience the story along with the characters. Sofia, who was Jessy on the play, even "cried". How can someone do that live if she is pretending? Maybe she wasn’t pretending; maybe she was being the character.
When we went outside after the play was finished, we went to talk to Pastor and Adri. I told them I was going to ask Sofia Alves to sign my ticket, but at the same time I couldn’t believe what I was saying, because I didn’t know if I’d be courageous enough to do it. But I did it! And I had the chance to ask both Sofia and Manuela to sign my ticket. I was really happy to know that the real Sofia is a really nice person, unless she was also pretenting haha!
For both actresses, I was one more fan asking for an autograph. For me it was probably one event I’ll never forget and that it may not happen again!
Before the play started, I had told Miguel I hoped not to be disappointed after the play, because I could have been eluded by the soap operas and the movies. Many times when we meet artists we get disappointed because, after all, they weren’t that good. But Sofia Alves and Manuela Maria were really good and I didn’t get disappointed.
Just a note: I am not crazy about meeting famous people hehe! I was just curious about an actress I do admire. I really wanted to know who Sofia Alves was behind the cameras! hehe
Well, tomorrow I have one more day of work! The good news is: there isn’t a lot of mail to deliver tomorrow. The bad news is: it may rain tomorrow haha!
God bless you all!
Good-bye, dear Friend!

i was enjoying my life and, in the meantime, i start thinking about FRIENDSHIP!!!! there's a song i wrote in which i say "And just the way you are, I'll know/ and just the way you are, I am, / Because my heart is with you." so, in other words, when a friend leaves, most of the times we cannot go with them, you may think! but I say that we can always go with them! "I'll go wherever you go, as long as you carry me in your heart!" but now you say: "so, if one does not carry you anymore, does that mean you're not with them anymore?" well, first, on the one hand it's up to you to keep 'walking' with them! but to still have connection, you need, at least, two hearts! if one forgets but you still remember your 'covenant' between you and your friend, you're alone and you lose track of the other, even if you're still their friend! it doesn't mean you'll give up on them! what you'll have to do is to forgive, forget, and try to re-connect!
you know, nowadays, it's more and more difficult to have real friends because some leave, others get too busy, others for some reason i may not know! but of course, there are still cases where a friendship gets even closer and closer! but we're ''walking in the direction of a more individualist world! many times, competition destroys relationships! so, the challenge is to find time in our minds and connect through our hearts! i say this because most of my best friends moved to other countries and i always stayed in my place. many times i felt alone! i know it's hard to leave, but i believe it's even harder to stay because memories also stay in those places. every time you go back to the places you spent most of the time with your friends, they will remind you of those past times!
but then, there are two factors: time and distance! these two may, sometimes, make relationships closer. but other times, they just kill them! and the worst thing that can happen is that if you're the one that can change someone's life, and you know it, and you lose connection with that person, it's so hard to re-connect!
so, again, the challenge is to think that, if you have no physical means to act, use your heart ... and God can help
plus, if you look at someone and see them as a person, you'll never see them as an enemy, but as someone like you! whenever you look at them, you are looking at yourself, because both are in the same condition. so, as long as you keep this in your mind, it'll be much easier to keep a relationship!
well, if anyone reads this to the end, hope you understand! if you have any comments, just post your thoughts!
"Friendship is the most valuable gift you can get, and there's none alike to any other. Every friendship is different and it has its qualities and its defects. But to accept each one, is to have a room for each in your heart."
"My heart has many rooms. One of them belongs to you! It doesn't matter how much space it has because you'll have to conquer it!"
"Let us have two hearts that can reach each other no matter where you go!"
~ "I'll go wherever you go, as long as you carry me in your heart!"
"Most importantly, never say good-bye. Say 'See you later, friend!'"
have a blessed day!
God's Love Language

ok. this is something i wrote a while ago, but still wanted to share it with ya. enjoy and think about it!
Have you ever understood or thought about what God's language is? Just wondering, because I've been wondering about that a long time ago and i wanted to share it with you.
In the Old Testament, God spoke to the prophets about laws, future and other things by talking, visions, dreams, etc.
But I think, since Jesus came and died for us on the cross and through Jesus, God made a new covenant, God uses another language. Well, He has been using this language all the time, even in the Old Testament, but now the ultimate form of love has been shown, the death and resurrection of Jesus. I don't think God speaks a spoken language, but a language of love! How beautiful it is! So beautiful it is the language of love!
And now, maybe, you ask: What is a love language? How do we understand God's love language?
Well, sometimes it's not easy to know or to understand when we have to face a lot of things. But, when you ask God for help and for His direction, His response is a feeling of a comforted heart, peace; you feel God carrying you and your heart in His arms so carefully, patiently while saying: "My thoughts are not like yours, and my ways are different from yours. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways and thoughts above yours." And then, maybe in the next day, someone talks about what you asked God for and says exactly the right words and the answer you needed to hear; God uses, too, other people to show His love and the answers and, maybe, that person didn't even know! His language is showing love, is loving, is acting. And sometimes we don't know how we had slept well know that we had a problem crashing our heart. God just carried you in His arms. But if you couldn't sleep well, and spent all day and night worried and irritated, well, then, that's because you wanted to carry it all alone by yourself and did not want God to carry your burden!
Only children open their hearts and understand this kind of language, and we must be like them and open our hearts to understand God's love language!
Well, maybe you have already known this but i wanted to share it!
Summer Camp 1

Hello folks! Again, it's been a while since i last posted a blog here, but i've been really busy... as always lol
first, i had to study for 2 exams. they went not that well. i got the results last friday and my grades weren't that high as i wanted! then, i went to camp!!! it was really cool! i met new friends like Dakota, Danica, Elyse and Zach. unfortenately, Elyse left last sunday and Danica feels devastated. they were like best friends! somehow, i know what's like to stay while friends leave. i've been through that several times and it sucks! probably, in a year, the contrary will happen: my friends will stay and i will go. what a paradox! sometimes i wonder if this is life as it should be. the good news is that i can still have hope in God and He has plans for everyone. He'll never leave anyone alone!
but anyway, during camp, i had the chance to celebrate the 4th of July for the first time. it was really neat. in this way, i had the chance to know a little more about American culture. but i also had to opportunity to meet other people like Jamie, Zach's sister, and another girl that, unfortenately, i don't remember her name! i loved the fireworks. for the first time i could see the fireworks so close!!! amazing!
at camp, Nuno taught us the lessons and we learned about intimacy with God, how to face the problems without giving up, because God is always with us. we also had devotionals in the morning that we had to do in silence and in private. we had a good time of reflection!
now i'm back home! saturday i went to Elizabeth's birthday party and it was fun! yesterday, we went to see the place for our next camp, and it's going to be fun. it's really beautiful!
well, now i need to study... AGAIN! yeah, next monday i have one other exam, of History, and a tough one!
y'all are in my payers! may God bless you in everything you do and everywhere you go!
