This is one horrible disaster. The death toll right now is 120,000 and going up. Huge title waves are carrying men, women, and children away, with hardly any hopes on finding their loved ones. People all over the world from Canada, USA, and many other countries fly to Sri-Lanka and all other parts of where the disaster hit, to search for their loved ones. People search all around, with pictures of their missing loved ones, with hopes of finding them. The United Nations is pleading for people to donate to the Red Cross Foundation, to donate money, which will help all the people who have been in Southeast Asia at the time of the Tsunamis and earthquakes. The Tsunami was a huge earthquake, measured at the level 9, which is very high. The majority of the distruction has been in Sri Lanka, India, the Maldives, Indonesia, and Thailand. The Red Cross donations will help with basic needs for survival. The United States, India, Australia, Japan and the United Nations are comming together in hopes of helping to re-build which already have sent 32
ships and 29 aircrafts with rescue help.

Even though we are not affected by this disaster, people are suffering, and we should be thankful that where we live, no such disasters occur. I think this new years, we should all have a new years resolution, I think we should all pledge $1.00 to the red cross. I know I will. To us, it may only be a $1.00, but to the people affected, it means alot.
