False Gospel Teaching 12.01.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are beginning our studies on the book of Galatians, please read Chapters 1-3 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy & paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians%201-3&version=9

Today we are reading about the reminder that there is only One True Gospel; Paul's rebuke of Peter; justification by faith not Law; and our guide to Christ. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that all who accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior are saved by faith and not by works. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and still think that you have to work you way to heaven you are being decieved.

The book of Galatians is the 9th book of the New Testament and also the 4th epistle and contains 6 chapters. The author of the epistle is Paul and it was written to the believers of Galatia. The purpose of the epistle was to correct the false teaching of Jewish legalism in the Church. What we are to learn from the book is that Jesus delivered us from law to liberty.

This epistle (letter) settles the fact that there is only One way to avoid spending an eternal death in the lake of fire. It also gives us the assurance that all who accept Jesus as their Savior enjoys eternal life in heaven. "Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the deadwink.gif And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (Galatians 1:1-5).

Paul also warns us that there are going to be people in the world teaching a false gospel and that we need to keep our focus on the True Gospel. "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. We are reminded that no one deserves or earns the right to heaven by keeping the Law, we are given that right by putting our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ." (1:6-cool.gif. We are going to be faced with many different views on what the True Gospel is, but we can rest assure that the truth is in the Holy Bible. That is why it is so important to read it daily and not be corrupted by those who try to alter God's Word.

We are reminded that no one deserves or earns the right to heaven by keeping the Law, we are given that right by our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (6:16-20).

Jesus is the only mediator that gets us to heaven, the full meaning of God's grace and undeserved loving-kindness was revealed when Jesus died on the cross that we might be delivered from our sin and eventually enter heaven to be with Him. Since no one has the ability to keep the Law of God, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, by becoming the curse for us. This is the True Gospel of Christ and if you are getting any other information you are being decieved. Do not be decieved, learn the truth. Get into reading your Bible, God will help you understand what you are reading, get into a Bible believing church if you are not in one, stick with Bible studies by teachers such as myself that will help you further understand. By surrounding yourself with the truth you can not be corrupted by the false teachings of others.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Help me to remain faithful to You and your calling upon my life. Strengthen and grow my faith as I daily search Your Scriptures and apply their truths to my spiritual walk. As I go through the trials and experiences of my earthly journey would You fix my eyes and my ever-wandering heart upon Jesus. Help me to stay focused on the truth and not get corrupted by any lies that may have been place before me. In Jesus' name.........Amen.

Have a wonderful day and week.
God Bless,

Spirit vs Flesh 12.02.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are completing our studies on the book of Galatians, please read Chapters 4-6 in your Bible oe you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this link into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians%204-6&version=9

Today we are reading about the two Covenants of Law and the Gospel od Grace; the liberty of the Gospel; the sins of the flesh; and the fruit of the Spirit. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that we struggle within ourselves between spirit and flesh. It is important that we learn to walk in the fruit of the spirit rather than the lusts of the flesh.

Paul explains the history of the two covenants the Law and the Gospel of Grace. The covenants represent two women in Abraham's life, Hagar and Sarah. "For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar." (Galatians 4:22-24).

Hagar, whom by human reasoning gave birth to Ishmael, is symbolic of the human efforts used of the Law to accomplish the will of God. Sarah, whom by faith gave birth to Issac, is symbolic of God's grace as this miraculous birth took place when they we too old to have children (Sarah was 99). "Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free." (4:28-31). God imparted miraculous life obtained by faith with spiritual fruitfulness.

The Apostle Paul warns of 17 specific sins made by the flesh, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (sensuality), idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (discord), emulations (jealousy), wrath, strife, seditions (rebellion), heresies (unorthodox beliefs), envyings, murders, drunkenness, and revellings (getting drunk). "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." (5:19-21).

The Law can direct worshippers to outwardly keep religious symbolism, rules, and regulations, and appear to be very devoted; but it can never produce an inner desire from the heart to keep His Commandments unless we express the fruit of the spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." (5:22-25).

We can give thanks to God that we are no longer enslaved by the works of the flesh, all who accept Jesus have their sins crucified on the cross when Jesus died for us. Now we are filled with the Holy Spirit that allows us to bear His fruit and are free from all bondage of sin. Praise Jesus!

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
As I commit myself to You this day, I ask that You make me a glowing ember of Your truth, Your wisdom, and Your compassionate mercy. I want my light to shine for You so that all glory will be directed back to You, my source of light. If I find myself in the midst of a circle of employees engaged in ungodly conversation help me not to blend in. But rather help me to be the light of Your glory in my conversation, full of grace, so that I will know how to respond to each person. I ask that You would reveal to me any false motivation for carrying out good deeds. Remind me that it is for Your glory that I do these things. It is neither for the praise of others nor for personal advancement, but the advancement of the Gospel. Lord, help me to reach just one today with an unexpected act of kindness that will direct the recipient’s thoughts toward You. In Jesus' name.......Amen.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!
God Bless,

A Child of God 12.03.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are beginning our studies on the book of Ephesians, please read Chapters 1-3 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser:biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%201-3&version=9

Today we are reading about Spiritual blessings in Christ; prayers of Paul; the unity of believers; and Paul's mission to the Gentiles. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that all who accept Jesus are children of God and no matter what happens no one can take that away.

The book of Ephesians is the 10th book and 5th epistle of the New Testament, it contains 6 chapters and was written by the apostle Paul to the church at Ephesus. The purpose of the epistle was to inform believers of their wealth in Christ and instruct then concerning their walk in Christ. What we are to learn from the book is that all Christ's believers are heirs to both the blessings (the wealth) and the responsibilities (the walk) of their calling in Christ.

The God who created all mankind has chosen us to be His children, in fact He has chosen us even before the world was form. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." (Ephesians 1:3-6). The book of Ephesians is the key for the believer who will settle for nothing less than God's will.

What an amazing discovery to know that God has chosen us well before we were even thought of to be His children. It was no coincidence that we know the truth, He knows exactly what time in our lives we will be able to handle the truth and the responsibilities that He has given us along with it. No person or power can cheat us out of the very best that God has planned for our lives. As we daily read and study His Word with a desire to do His will, we can then pray and depend upon the Holy Spirit to guide our lives along the path that He has destined for us.

Before Christ came to earth, only the Jews had a Covenant relationship with God, but by the grace of God Jews and Gentiles alike who receive Christ as Savior and Lord now have a Covenant relationship with Him. "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are savedwink.gif And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus." (2:1-7).

In A.D. 70, God used the Roman general Titus to destroy the Temple, the Brazen Altar of Sacrifice, and the functions of the high priest. These merely foreshadowed the Messiah Jesus who is the only Means through which anyone can approach the One True God to worship Him. "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him." (3:8-12).

Is it any surprise that Satan will deceptively seek to keep us too busy doing even good things in his effort to keep us from reading God's Word which will make our prayers effective? Because of our love for the Lord, the true believer looks forward to a daily dialog of prayer and reading His Word. "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." (3:14-19).

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
You gave first and foremost as you selflessly gave of Yourself through the person of Jesus Christ. Your gift of grace exceeds human description, for the far-reaching effects in our lives is truly indescribable. It’s too wonderful for words, but it brings unspeakable joy and glorious hope that makes our spiritual journey so worthwhile. We receive Your indescribable gift that brings forgiveness for our sins and reserves for us a home in heaven for all eternity. In Jesus' name..........Amen.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
God Bless,
Christina

Always Rejoicing 12.05.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are studying the book of Philippians, please read Chapters 1-4 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this link into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%201-4&version=9

Today we are reading about Paul's prayer for the Philippians; the privilege of suffering for Christ; unity gained by humility; and the exhortation to rejoice in the Lord. Today's message focuses on the importance of rejoicing in the Lord. We are to rejoice in the Lord at all times for He is the strength to get us through all afflictions.

The book of Philippians is the 11th book and 6th epistle of the New Testament and contains 4 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to the church on Philippi. The purpose of the letter was to present an appeal for Christian unity. What we are to learn from the letter is that Unity in Jesus brings joy.

The Apostle Paul first preached in Europe near the city of Philippi. On the Sabbath, Paul went to a place of prayer by a river where he met Lydia, a businesswoman from Thyatira. Lydia was saved along with a few others, and a church was planted there (See Acts 16:13-15). At a later date, as a missionary prisoner in Rome, Paul wrote to these converts.

His imprisonment gave him the opportunity to share the Good News about Jesus with the elite guard of the Roman Empire. This was a great opportunity to tell many of them about Jesus the Messiah, who was foretold in the Scriptures, as there was a change of guard three or four times a day. He wrote to the Philippians, "Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear." (Philippians 1:11-14).

Paul encouraged the church to do all things without complaining, holding on to the Word of God for it is the Word of Life that gives us joy through all things, "Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain." (2:14-16). Our occupation in life may be in politics, the military, business, education, manual labor, or homemaking, but our primary concern should always be labor in vain.

We all have a natural desire for physical comforts, security, and material things. However, in making our decisions, our first loyalty should be to Christ. There is a storehouse of spiritual wealth and peace in Him that surpasses all earthly possessions in importance.

Paul had renounced a prominent career for a life of unceasing hardship and persecution which was destined to end in violent death. Knowing what the future held for him, he said, "Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (4:9-13). We too should be able to say with Paul, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me".

"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice." (Philippians 4:4). There is a song based on this verse. It's called a forever song because you repeat the same verses over and over again. It's a pick me up song that actually does lift up your spirits when you are doing something that you really do not want to be doing. Try is sometimes.

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice!
Rejoice! Rejoice! And again I say Rejoice!
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Jesus, the day to day circumstances in our lives are so uncertain. The solutions to our problems can be very perplexing and seem beyond our grasp. You don’t expect us to have all the right answers or to fully understand all that concerns us, but You do want us to trust You, as we hold on to Your unchanging hand. Jesus, we have trusted You over and over throughout the circumstances of our lives, and today we pray for grace to trust You even more. In your mighty name, Jesus we pray........Amen.

Have a fantastic Friday and weekend too.
God bless,
Christina

Christ In You 12.06.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are studying the book of Colossians, please read Chapters 1-4 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians%201-4&version=9

Today we are reading about the supremacy of Christ; reconciliation through Christ; a warning against false teaching; the new life in Christ; and Christian virtues. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that Christ lives in You and that you are to do All things in His name.

The book of Colossians is the 12th book and 7th epistle of the New Testament and contains 4 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to the belivers in Colosse who were to share the letter with the believers at Laodecea. The purpose of the letter was to address doctrinal issues in the church. What we are to learn is that Christ is all and is in all.

As we continue reading the Word of God with a desire to please Him in all that we do the Holy Spirit guides us to a deeper understanding and revelation to follow His will. There is no limit to the understanding, strength, and endurance that is made available to every Christian. Jesus Christ alone, through His Word can reveal and meet all of our spiritual needs.

To help us understand the importance of realizing this Paul wrote, "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." (Colossians 1:9-17). Notice how often the word all is used here. It is God's desire that we All be led by the knowledge of His will and All become wise and are strengthen with His glorious power.

What follows is the practical expression of the new life in Christ for all believers, "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." (2:9-15). Once we recieve Chris and are baptised All of our sins are washed away and a new life in Him begins.

As evidence of this new life as Christians, Paul encouraged the new believers to put to death All past sins. "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify (put to death) therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them." (3:4-7). We are all sinners, but once we are saved we are to be an example to those who still live in sin, do not judge them, just pray for them and continue on with renewing Your Christ filled life.

The Christian that studies God's Word is difficult to lead astray, Paul reminds us, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." (3:16-17).

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
We earnestly seek You for wisdom regarding the daily circumstances of our lives. Help us to incline our hearts toward You for understanding all that You have to teach us in the lessons of life. During the quiet sessions when Your voice seems silent help us to trust You knowing that You work all things out for our good, for Your glory, and in Your time reference. In Jesus' name........Amen.

Have a wonderful day.
God Bless,
Christina

aspiritual Bible Study: Be Sober Dec 8th, 2008 2:33:34 am - Subscribe
Be Sober 12.07.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are studying the book of I Thessalonians, please read Chapters 1-5 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this link into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I%20Thessalonians%201-5&version=9

Today we are reading about Paul's warning against false teaching; pleasing God; witnessing to unbelievers; walking in the light, and the coming of Christ. Today's message focuses on the importance of being sober.

The book of I Thessalonians is the 13th book/8th epistle of the New Testament and contains 5 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to the believers of Thessalonica. The purpose of the letter is to assure the people that Jesus is coming back and to correct and false teaching. What we are to learn from the book is that Jesus is in fact coming back and that our comfort should focus on the glorious hope of His return.

I Thessalonians teaches us that we are to live to please God. Paul reminds us, "Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." (I Thessalonians 2:10-13). We are all God's witnesses and are to live according to His Will, giving Him glory for all things. This does not mean that we can not have hobbies or other interests, but it does mean that God must come first before all these things.

Paul continues, "Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness." (4:1-7). We are to put to death all vices that keep us from living Christlike. Now, we are all in different phases of our Christian walk, some are newly born again while others have been for quite some time. God does not expect those who have just accepted Jesus to completely change over night, He knows it takes time, but He does want you to take the steps to become Christlike.

The certainty of the believer's eternal life with Christ is based on the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ. Paul assured us, "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." (4:14-1cool.gif.

The return of Christ will be the greatest event since His ascension, there are no words to adequately describe His glorious return. "For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him." (5:2-10). We have no way of knowing when the appointed time of Christ's arrival will be so we can not wait for what we think is the right time to accept Jesus into our lives. Therefore, we need to put aside anything that hinders us from bringing Him into our lives. Remember, we are the light of the world therefore, we must be alert and sober awaiting that appointed time.

This is the joyous anticipation of every Christian who is faithfully preparing and waiting for the triumphant return of our Redeemer. "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (5:11-1cool.gif.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
I will call upon you, for you are worthy to be praised, and I will be saved from my enemies. My heart rejoices in you. I trust in your holy name. I rejoice in you; I trust in you; I shout for joy because you defend me. I thank you that you bless and surround me like a shield. You are my God and I am one of your sheep for whom you extend your hand of protection. You are my refuge and my strength in the day of trouble. I will sing your praises forever. In Jesus' name.......Amen.

Have a wonderful day/night.
God Bless & Merry Christmas,
Christina

Teach the Gospel 12.08.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are studying the book of II Thessalonians, please read Chapters 1-3 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy & paste this link into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=II%20Thessalonians%201-3&version=9

Today we are reading about encouragement when facing persecution; instructions concerning Christ's return; and a commandment to work. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that we must learn and teach the Gospel to all who do not know Jesus.

The book of II Thessalonians is the 14th book/9th epistle of the New Testament and contains 3 chapters. The author of the book/epistle is Paul and it is written to the church at Thessalonica. The purpose of the letter was to instruct believers awaiting for the return of the Lord. What we are to learn is that it is important to teach and live by sound doctrine.

There are two defining events that everyone in the world must face, death and the coming of Jesus. It is a devastating fact that the vast majority of mankind is blindly heading toward an eternal lake of fire. Good people are ignorantly ignoring the call to reciever Jesus into their lives and sadld will suffer greatly. "Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day." (II Thessalonians 1:6-10).

Much of the world has it's heart set on gaining more and more of this life's luxuries, they are never satisfied with what they have, longing more and more of what they really do not need. When they can not meet this expectations fears and frustrations grow as the result of their inability to cope adequately with situations they can't change. This drive has, at times, led to physical and emotional exhaustion, depression, and burnout.

At times, we are all tempted to be influenced by this spirit of the world that deceives so many, "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." (2:9-10). We need to remind ourselves daily that we are in a spiritual battle against satanic forces, but through grace we are saved and comforted by the Lord Jesus Christ. "Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work." (2:16-17).

The coming judgment seems written so large in human events that no one should mistake or ignore it. Yet, the secular mind seems unable to see the invisible hand of the Almighty God in the chaos of world affairs. No matter how much we try there are some that refuse to know the truth and sadly will realize it when it's too late, but many simply do not know the truth. That is why it is very important for believers to teach the Gospel to all, you do not have to know the entire Bible. As long as you know that Jesus is the sinless son of God, who died on the cross to save you from your sins, then was buried, and three days later arose then you know the truth. If you have doubts, get into the Bible, preferably a King James Bible, and read the truth, if you need help go to aspiritualguide.net/salvation.htm to learn more.

Be aware that not all will be receptive to your teaching, but do not be offended, it's not a personal attack on you, they just are ignorant to accepting the truth, and sadly some will always be. Jesus gave instructions to all His disciples, "After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.........But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you." (Luke 10:1-310-11).

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
I pray that You would wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Blot out all my iniquity. Lord, open my lips, and my mouth that will enable me to declare Your praise. As I come to You humbly and in brokenness of spirit You restore to me the joy of Your salvation much like the new fallen snow that covers the earth. Thank You for being merciful and forgiving and for your grace. In Jesus' name.......Amen.

Enjoy your day/night and Seasons' Greetings.
God Bless,
Chrsitina

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are studying the book of I Timothy, please read Chapters 1-6 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this link into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I%20Timothy%201-6&version=9

Today we are reading about a warning against false doctrine; being thankful for God's mercy; the qualifications of church leaders; instructions about the widows and elderly; and the good fight of faith. Today's message focuses on the importance of being disciplined daily in our reading and praying. The only way to know the truth and live it is to read it for yourself.

The book of I Timothy is the 15th book/10th epistle of the New Testament and contains 6 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to Timothy, his son through faith. The purpose of the letter was to address some of the problems and needs which existed in the church at Ephesus, which he was ministering to. What we are to learn from the book is that we should live a life example of the ministry to which we have been called.

The Roman Emperor Nero was ruthlessly persecuting Christians and condemning many of them to death at the time Paul wrote this letter to Timothy. However, Paul stressed the importance of praying for those who were in authority over them, regardless of their conduct. "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." (I Timothy 2:1-4). As we pray for world leaders, as well as for our local officials, we can be sure our prayers will have an effect upon their actions, whether the men themselves are godly or evil.

As believer's we are urged to discipline ourselves daily to set time aside to be alone with God by praying and reading His Word. Daily study and meditation of God's Word gives us sound doctrine of how God wants us to live and increases our faith in Him. Many Christians have drifted away from the godly principles of the Bible. Paul reminds us, "For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." (I Timothy 4:4-cool.gif.

Our lives will be occupied either by the Holy Spirit or by self and the standards of the world. There can be no sharing of authority, and there is just one true safeguard against deception, it is knowing all the Word of God.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Help each of us to understand the wiles of the devil and to be steadfast in our determination to resist temptation at each step. We want to be self-controlled and alert, standing firm in the faith as we resist the devil who prowls around like a roaring lion seeking for someone to devour. Thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit to resist and to overcome. In Jesus' name.......Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!
God Bless and Seasons Greetings,
Christina

Do Not Be Afraid 12.10.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are studying the book of II Timothy, please read Chapters 1-4 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=II%20Timothy%201-4&version=9

Today we are reading about Pauls's exortations to Timothy; the coming denial of Christ; steadfastness in the Scriptures; the charge to preach or teach. Today's message continues to focus on the importance of learning and teaching God's Word. We can not be ashamed of what we know nor be afraid to tell others. Jesus gives us the strength and protection to withstand all persecution.

The book of II Timothy is the 16th book/11 epistle of the New Testament and contains 4 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to Timothy. The purpose of the letter was to challenge Timothy to assume responsibility for the ministry which the apostle was handing over to him. What we are to learn from the book is that each one teach one to reach one.

Paul wrote this book from prison as he knew he would soon be executed for his faith. Paul reminds Timothy that his mother and grandmother had faithfully taught him and that he should no be ashamed to teach what he learned to others. "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; " (II Timothy 1:5-cool.gif. We can not live in fear of our beliefs, we will all face persecution, but rest assure that Jesus is with us and gives us the strength and protection to withstand all afflictions.

Paul was deeply concerned that Timothy would remain faithful to God. Paul choose him because he knew that the Scriptures would prepare him to be responsible to carry out the Lord's commands. "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. " (II Timothy 2:1-4). Paul knew that for Timothy to remain faithful in the midst of trials and disappointments, he would need to diligently study the Word of God as essential for spiritual wisdom. This is a lesson for us all to learn, we must keep God's Word in us daily, this will also allow us the teach the truth to others.

Paul also encouraged Timothy to remember that the Holy Scriptures are necessart to make us wise and teach us many things. "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (3:13-17).

This is a doctrine of vital importance to the Church in this generation. Both testaments are the Word of God and we must study both in order to understand God's message. The terms "old" and "new" testaments are used to distinguish between God's agreement with man before and after the death of Jesus Christ. We do not disregard the Old Testament simply because it is called "old." The Almighty God obviously controls all the affairs of the universe and nothing could have been more vital than His control over the men whom He inspired to translate into English more than 400 years ago the One Book that reveals His will for our lives.

The Word of God is the true source of reproof. Added to reproof is "rebuke, exhort" which means we are also to encourage or bring comfort. Rebuke without encouragement may defeat the purpose of the rebuke. Long-suffering is a necessity if exhorting is to be profitable. Since the truth can never be out of season - meaning, always available - nothing compares to the necessity of knowing God's Word. There are no options, no substitutes, no alternatives.

Because I take refuge in You my spiritual foundation is firm, always dependable, and leads me to glorious victory. In Jesus' name........Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night.
God Bless You and Merry Christmas,
Christina

Christian Principles 12.11.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are studying the books Titus and Philemon, please read Titus Chapters 1-3 and Philemon Chapter 1 in your Bible or you can click the following links to read them online. If the links do not work you can copy and paste them into your browser.
Titus : biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Titus%201-3&version=9 Philemon : biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philemon%201&version=9

Today we will be reading about the qualifications of church officers; a warning about false teachers; Christian conduct; and Paul's appeal for Onesimus. Today's message focuses on Christian principles. It is not enough to do good, we must do it according to God's Will.

The book of Titus is the 17th book/12th epistle of the New Testament and contains 3 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to Titus, a Greek convert and fellow worker with Paul. The purpose of the letter is to correct problems and establish proper order in the churches located on the island of Crete. What we are to learn from it is that founding a good work is not enough. That work must be established and organized according to the principles of God's Word.

The churches on the island of Crete needed spiritual leadership, so Paul instructed Titus to ordain qualified men to fill these positions. "For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers." (Titus 1:5-9). The Church belongs to Christ. His qualifications for spiritual leaders must be followed; man's alternative options are unacceptable to God.

Paul also gave instruction that older men and women should teach the younger men and women, instructing them to forsake evil passions and worldly ambitions, and to live honorably before the Lord. "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee." (2:11-15). Our teaching must be based upon the threefold work of Christ for His people as a result of His death upon the cross. 1) He set us free and redeemed us from all iniquity. 2) He set us apart and purified to Himself a peculiar people (special possession). 3) He called us to be zealous (eager) of good works.

The book of Philemon is the 18th book/13 epistle of the New Testament and contains 1 chapter. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to Philemon, a Christian who lived at Colosse. The purpose of the letter was to appeal for Onesimus, the runaway slave of Philemon who had become a believer. What we are to learn from it is that Christian principles must be applied to social relationships.

Paul simply identifies himself as a prisoner of Jesus Christ. "Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer, And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." (Philemon 1:1-3).

Although Paul was imprisoned by the Roman Empire, he knew who really had control of his life. In his letter to Philemon he expressed the same attitude of gratitude. "I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." (1:4-6). No matter what struggles we face they are all allowed by God. Struggles allow us to draw closer to Him, to seek Him more, and acknowledge that He is in control.

God does not want to see us suffer, but He knows what we can handle and works everything together for our good. Stay faithful to Him and do not cease from praying, You will see victory.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
We are so thankful that there is nothing in our past or future that can separate us from Your love or daily provision for our lives. Though the enemy seeks to disrupt our lives, pollute our minds and sear our conscience we will not be defeated by evil. Instead we overcome evil with the steadfast goodness You instill in our hearts as we hold dearly to the light of Your Word. We say “no” to ungodliness and worldly passion as we eagerly wait for our great hope in the second coming of Your Son, Jesus, who will unite us with You, our Father, in heaven. In Jesus' name.........Amen.

Enjoy your day/night.

God Bless and Merry Christmas,
Christina
