| Biography | I began life in rural America, though it was clear pretty early on that I wouldn't be staying. Started my working world in electronics. Wandered off to figure out some spiritual questions I couldn't escape. Ended up in Chicago, as an IT guy in a medical school. I'm a decent bassist and guitarist, and can dabble on piano. I normally refer to myself as a bassist, since I believe I'm strongest on that instrument. My most recent challenge is the double-bass. I acquired one in December of 2006. Took some lessons for 6 months or so, then have been working on it on my own since. It's an instrument I view as a little magical. It's part mechanics, but also something beyond that. |
