Brake-Check-Screwed-Me

I am a college student and I work full time to support myself. I am not from San Antonio and I do not have a father to help me with my car issues. I knew I needed an alignment since my car was shaking so I went to Brake Check on Fredericksburg and Medical. I received my 2005 Ford Focus back at 6 PM on Saturday and when I turned on my car on Sunday at 4pm my front wheel turned sideways and I could not put my car in drive. I called Brake Check and they sent out Milton a mechanic, who stated "yeah they should've saw that when doing an alignment and something wasn't tightened properly". He then made a call to the store manger, Robert Robinson, who stated that if I towed the car back to Brake Check and they saw it was their fault that they would fix it and I would be reimbursed for the towing. The next day I had to get a taxi to go to work and I didn't know what else to do. I called Robert on Monday and asked him to fax me in writing what he told me the night before and he refused and stated he needed to talk to his district manager, Jerry, about the issue now because it sounded like I had already sought legal help. Robert called back and stated that he would get a tow truck to come pick up my vehicle so they could take a look at it. After four hours of having my car, Robert called and stated they would not be taking responsibility for anything because it had to a do with a bad inner tire rod. I told him that I did not understand how that could be overlooked when doing an alignment and I was told by them that they checked the car and if my car was such in bad condition where it was about to break down that it would be pretty obvious. Robert then stated that they just wiggle the tire after the alignment to check that everything is OK. My car is currently still there and I feel completely and utterly helpless. I don't have anybody here to help against them. I am grateful that I was not on I10 driving 70mph when this happened to my car. I feel that because I do not know any mechanics to come help me and they know that I have no idea about cars and I don't have a dad or husband to help me that they can take advantage of me. If my part was bad I could've taken care of it at the time of the alignment before my life was at risk. I will take the time every weekend in March from the time they open to close to stand outside and let other people know not to let the same thing happen to them, I wish somebody would have done that for me.
