Spinning in my CD Player--->: ryan adams - cold roses
today was a good day... and its not quite over yet. i got paid today and i bought a cd and a dvd and the rest of it is going to the courthouse unfortunately.. i owe like $77, so i am going to pay like 50 to the court house prolly. maybe $60.00, who knows. anyways, as i was saying, i bought 2 things at best buy today. i was torn between ryan adams' new cd, cold roses, and the metal band, norma jean's, latest disc called 'o god, the aftermath.' if you know anything about these 2 bands then the mere fact that i was contemplating between the 2 of these bands will strike you as perplexing. why? well, because ryan adams is alt. country and norma jean is extremely heavy metal with not one harmonious moment for the albums entirity. which isnt bad, i like norma jean a lot, them and underoath are my 2 favorite hardcore bands, bar none. i ended up spendin an hour in best buy, nothing out of the ordinary for me when i go there, and leaving with ryan adams - cold roses. i am telling you this album is nothing short of spectacular... its not quite as good as his last one, love is hell, but he wont ever top that album. its one of my alltime favorites... ever. but this album is a 2 disc set and i got it for $13.99. decent price. its a very good album. this album is far more country sounding than love is hell and thats ok as well.. adams pulls this genre off and owns it to say the least i think. one of my new favorite songs is on this album, its called, "how do you keep love alive." absolutely beautiful. i love it... its sooo beautiful. this one could and should have been on love is hell i think. but nevertheless, it fits in well with this album too, changing the mood a little bit. i also bought the dvd, apt pupil. if you havent seen this movie, go see it. its very disturbing and very good at that. its dark and haunting. you can buy it for $6.99. so go pick it up. i watched about half of it before i fell asleep because i was tired from not too much sleep last night... i have been sleeping alot lately. for the record. in other news, school starts back up on monday and i begin working at the johnson city police department. i cant wait!!!! i am sooooo excited. other than that, nothing really is going on. i am trying to quit dipping for good this time. and as i say that, i have one in.. haha. hypocritical persay? sure... why not. but i swear, one day i will kick this shitty habit. enjoy the rest of the day.
