i just remembered how great of a movie that american beauty is. it has so many amazing parts in it that just amaze me and are so beautiful if you "look closer."

today i spoke with officers from the unicoi sheriffs office, the rutherford county sheriffs office, the bradley county sheriffs office, and the atlanta police department. i am just so ready to go to the police academy and get started on the road. johnson city police are hiring again... dad wants me to apply there again but then again, i know i cant get on there because i didnt get on last time. oh well, i am going to try again. there, i think they pretty much have their mind made up who they wanna hire and who they dont. oh well, one of my advantages will be that i know what to expect in the assessment...

oh well, i have american beauty on and i am seeing how i DO NOT want my marriage to be, but how similiar so many marriages are to this film, ironically enough.

...is going to be a big one for me. i am going to knoxville for the police test with the knoxville police department. i am going down tomorrow to stay with cara tomorrow night and then get up and go test at the police department on saturday morning. i am semi-dreading the physical test. i am in as good as shape as anyone there i know, however, i am not in as good a shape as i was when i was running track and field for ETSU over the past few years. i need to get back into that shape and QUIT DIPPING SKOAL.

it is such a bad habit and i am going to quit one of these days. wish me luck on the testing and maybe i will end up getting an offer with the knoxville police dept. wow, that would be AWESOME!!!!

today.
me and ferret went and shot my new glock 19 at the firing range up in carter county. it was a nice, brisk day for shooting. we froze while we were there because it was about 30 degrees up on the mountain. ferret hada never shot a glock or a 9mm pistol... i told him that he would love glocks when he was done... we shot about 162 rounds and not one ftf or fte from the glock 9mm. but then again, do you ever expect anything less with a glock that you pay $600.00 dollars for and that is the most widely used police issued firearm in the united states of america? i dont. ferret loved the gun and he said he was going to buy one.. i knew it. on a more derogatory note, cara and i were fighting tonite over stupid ass shit like always. i am so sick of those fights. maybe tomorrow will be better. wish me luck on the test again. i am going to finish this mountain dew, turn off ryan adams, and watch hostage with bruce willis; a great cop film!!!

i had to start this post off by saying that... because it is the truth!!! I GOT HIRED WITH THE WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE!!! i got a call today from major jamerson with the WCSO and they offered me the job. i am so happy. i cant wait to start. i have been waiting on this for so long and i honestly think this came through for me because this is where the Lord wants me to be. i have wanted to stay here all along and now i get to! today is such a great day and its beautiful outside... i knew something good was going to happen.

so here is the badge of MY agency!!! i cant wait to wear it.
