hey it's dustin, aka indie-guy.

this is my old blog.
i just wanted to make it official that i will no longer be working on the emoblog/aeonity program. you can see the screenshots below. everything was finished except for the internet part of it, but after a harddrive failure and a few accidental formats without backing up my work...i just don't want to put the effort into it again.

this is over a year past due but whatever.

i probably should've updated this a LONG time ago but....it's better late than never right?

chances are only two or three of you out there even remember this but a long time ago i was working on a blogging client for emoblog. basically all i wanted to say was....

ebex development has been cancelled until the new emoblog is online and running smoothly. this will most likely mean a complete redesign and recode of the app that i was working on ages ago.

this really isn't an issue anymore and hasn't been for a while but i just wanted to make sure there wasn't anyone out there waiting for me to finish this.

i've done a little bit of work since last time...

*added font dropdown menu
*added font color dropdown menu
*added font size combobox menu

bug fixes
*FIXED: cursor now stays at the end of the text when a button is clicked instead of going to the beginning.

david or frost, could either of you send me a list of fonts you would like to the users to be able to choose from? and also a list of moods? thanks

i'm in the final stage of finishing the blog editing part of the app. once that is finished i will be able to start adding WinSock functions so the app can connect to emoblog.com.

when i get the last few functions of the editing window done i will release an alpha version so people can see what the app will be like and to catch any bugs early. THIS WILL NOT UPDATE YOUR EMOBLOG. it will only be a test version and will not connect to the internet. more info when i release the alpha.

i just finished writing my english paper and i had a few minutes so i thought i'd post another update on the emoclient...

*MAJOR code fixes/optimization

text formatting bar
*added Left/Center/Right align buttons
*added URL button
*added IMG button
*added smaller set of buttons for Add Blog/Preview/Start Over
*added Help button

random
*fixed username variable (wouldn't work with preview window)
*very minor resize/move of body texbox

things to do
*add winsock functionality to connect to emoblog.com
*add MD5 encryption to password
*add 'edit friends' functionality once winsock is working
*add 'edit history' functionality once winsock is working
*enable saving 'blog.bak' when entry is posted if option is checked.
