Calling all Call of Duty 4 Gamers I have stumbled over the Call of Duty 4 Game Optimizer. What this does is optimize your game play for Call of Duty 4 right before you play.
Please keep in mind that this software is FREE
As stated "Process and Services can take up valuable system resouces and CPU power causing intense programs and games to run less than optimal. Select Process and Services not necessary for your current task and have StopAll Close them.
What the Call of Duty Optimizer will do - It will close all running process that are currently running on your system (which you specify). It will also give you the ability to close all Windows Services such as Windows Time, WebClient, Windows Management Instrumentation, Security Center, Automatic Updates, Wireless Zero Configuration, and any other windows services that you may have running at all times.
The software also gives you the selection of services to optimize. These include:
Safe
Gaming
Performance
Diable
You are also give the ability to monitor the program when it states (CPU and Memory Specs)
quote: This will allow you to specify (or automatically) which services to close (only unneeded) for optimum performance while gaming.

It has semi-advanced API hooking for 2-3% more effectiveness.
This should boost your FPS by ~ 70

Run: CoD4Optimizer
Select: Gaming
Click: OK
You're done
Enjoy and please share it around
Note: If you get an error saying you're missing dependencies (OCX, DLL) download and install this software which will solve all of those problems
If you have any questions or updates to the program please post them here. This will be updated as new releases are released.

Does this really work? or is this a malware / spyware? did anyone test this? |
 |
david - December 01st, 2007
It is neither malware or spyware. Yes I have tested it. I would not post anything that was malicious in anyway. |

will this program be able to restore the services disabled?
its not that hard to manually go and restore them, but i was hoping it had built in functionality... |
 |
david - December 03rd, 2007
Yes, once the program has been closed out...services will resume normally. |

Should you leave the optimizer screen on while playing? Or can you close it? |
 |
david - December 04th, 2007
I leave my optimizer open but minimized. |
anonymous - December 04th, 2007
Does this work by just enabling, say, "gaming" and leave the screen on while playing? Or do i have to move running processes to the right? Thanks |

What do the radio buttons to the right of the services list actually mean? |

Downloaded this application and used it. All I can say is, I have my graphics set to max on everything, and there's hardly any lag. Where I DID have a problem, even at low settings. 1.8ghz dual core...3.0gb of RAM...GeForce 8500 GT |

How can i run it without shutting down the internet? I would like to play cod4 online but it shuts down internt so..ya |
anonymous - November 17th, 2008
Trojan actually, steals cdkeys and uploads to an FTP site. Anyone who believes this could actually give them 70 fps more without upgrading their pc deserves to have it stolen to be honest! |
anonymous - November 18th, 2008
You can check it for yaselves. Goto the root of drive C and look for a file called rsrc.txt. It will contain your cod4 cdkey. Now go into the windows folder and look for kurl.exe. This is a program which can upload a file to an ftp server. Now say thanks to me for getting the FTP shut down a year ago and saving your cod4 key. |
