Just a reminder for those who are not already on the Do Not Call List, register your phone numbers as soon as possible.
I recieved this forward from my cousin Carrissa, it goes as followed:
quote: JUST A REMINDER....8 days from today, all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS... To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years.
HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS OR GO TO: www.donotcall.gov
Who knows if this is true or not, but if you do not want to recieve calls from companies you do not have to. Its your right.

after 5 years you have to sign up again my guess is that if you put your number on that list after 5 years is up and you forget to sign up agian the telemarketing companies will be able to access a list of people who havn't signed back up and you'll end up getting blasted with telemarketing calls. Cingulars site (cingular.com/learn/articles-resources/records-security.jsp) says that they are currently in a throw down with these companies trying to get customers information and they are not having it. GO CINGULAR!!! |

Move to Guernsey. One person gets a scam call and the island freaks out, it goes in the local rag and they stop. Happens about once a year. Yay for backwater communities |
