Dell Could Abandon Intel for AMD

Dell Inc. has said that they may start using AMD chips in its servers, however CEO Kevin Rollins was determined to say that the company had made no formal plans. The no. 1 PC maker is Intel’s best customer.

Rollins said during a phone call with press that "We have been studying AMD closely. Some of their products are more advanced." Dell has remained the only major PC maker to stick loyally to Intel rather than using its smaller rival, AMD.

Isnt this great news! I hope AMD pulls through.
