This is an update to Maxtor External Hard Drive Partitioned and Reformatted on Accident, entry. Have a look if you havent already take a look at it.

I am almost done with the long recovery process of my main external harddrive. As of now I have recovered 99.9% of all family pictures, 20% of recordered files, 60% music, and documents.

I guess the thing that really bothers me is my digital audio recorder files. Cant find them, and the ones that I did were the uncompressed .wav's..I only recovered about 5 out of 20.

Other than that, I am through with trying to recover my files, I figured what ever I could not find I will simply replace it with something new. Thank God, I recovered my family pictures, I wouldnt have been able to forgive myself if I had not.

Yea pictures are the tough ones to lose. It is hard to keep them in a spot that is safe.

Anyhow glad the recovery process is through.

I'm glad you got your pictures and (most of) your other files back. That's happened to me before...No fun at all.

Goodnight,
-Dustin
