The 'Like Button' on Facebook is Social Marketing at it's best. I believe the industry call's it Relationship Marketing. Some of us have fallen into that hole more than others. Need a shovel?
I was looking over all of the Facebook Likes I have, some were suggested to me, others I added based on the fact of a love for the service, idea, or product. Well, I believe this is Facebook's way of marketing to us socially by using relationship marketing.
So what is Relationship Marketing?
quote:
Simply, defined as a form of marketing developed from direct response marketing campaigns which emphasizes customer retention and satisfaction, rather than a dominant focus on sales transactions. - Wikipedia
So what does this mean? Well basically it means that you have a love for something, you hence 'like it'. From their others that are in you're social 'like' circle can now influence you, while at the same time Facebook can market to you by using advertisments.
If then statement states:
If Facebook User Likes X, Send to Group X, Group Content X is available, Advertisers in that niche group can now advertise the X niche product.
You're thoughts?

Your statement is true. I get insanely accurate advertisements and I am always surprised.
