Insanity Day 5 - Pure Cardio - Subscribe
|
|
Today was my day to work on one of my favorite workouts in the program so far....Pure Cardio. If anyone has never heard of Insanity, click on this youtube link for its commercial. Insanity Commercial In this workout Shaun T does around 13 exercises one after the other without any breaks(of course if you need a break you can take one, which I took breaks throughout the workout). During this exercise I usually take my breaks around the same times, which my pessimistic side makes me doubt I am getting better, but I have noticed that I have been working out harder for the exercises I perform prior to taking a break so this program has been working! For this workout you have to do exercises like, mountain climbers, ski jumps, power jacks and push up jacks(which the last three listed will burn your quads and core). Day 5 down - one more to go for the week. Tomorrow I am doing Plyometric Cardio Circuit. |

Good Morning Everyone, If you do not know me, my name is John. I live in New Braunfels, TX and work at a wonderful school district called Comal ISD as their District Webmaster. I brief history of myself and why I am deciding to blog about my progress with a workout program called "Insanity" from Beach Body. My family health history has been one that would make anyone concerned about themselves. When I was 14 my father passed away from his 3rd heart attack(he was 60 years old), my mother suffered a brain anneurism when I was 4 years old(she is still alive and healthy today...thank God!) Also, in April 2009, my oldest brother, Jake Jr. passed away as well from his 1st heart attack(he was 48 years old). As you can see, my family history made my wife and I concerned with my lifestyle and eating habits. I promised my wife a few years ago that I will be around to bug her through old age, but unless working out was going out to the Tennis courts, I didn't feel the motivation. I ran when I could and started losing weight, but I hit a slump late last year and didn't feel any motivation to work out. Since January of this year, I have been on/off with the Insanity program. If you haven't heard of this workout from Beach Body, what Shaun T does is he takes the traditional cardio workout routines in the market and flips it on it's head. Instead of doing 2 mins of light/moderate exercises and small bursts of hard exercises, he works out everyone hard for 2-3 mins and smaller bursts of the light/moderate routines. It is definitely insane and not for the faint of heart, but anyone with the will power and heart to push through can do this! Now that Summer has come and gone I feel like I need some self-motivation to go the full 60 days and commit to the program. I am starting the program with a virgin mindset and pretend that I haven't quit this program multiple times before. Wish me luck! Today was my 4th day of the program and it was called "Cardio Recovery." In the first month there are two discs that I dread doing...one is Cardio Power and Resistance and the 2nd is the one I did today. I felt discouraged before even starting it, but forced myself through the workout, and for the first time I feel like I actually did better on it than I have had in the past. Once Shaun T said that we were done with the workout, I felt this new-found sense of empowerment and hope. I cannot wait for tomorrow to go onto Day 5, "Pure Cardio." |

Hello all, We have been working hard to improve our wonderful community. In this venture we have implemented a new Spam catching system, which will hopefully allow us to monitor spam more efficiently and effectively. We are very excited of the results we have seen in just the few short hours this system has been implemented. The new system will also allow us to track trends, ip addresses and emails which we will be reporting to the other communities that hate spam as much as we do. Along with our spam system, we have been working hard to improve the speed of Aeonity, as we were finding its load times were way too slow by todays standards. We will continue to improve the speeds as we can, but the initial step was compression, which we have effectively done. This should cut down on our bandwidth and dish out our pages much faster to our end users. Finally, we decided that any users who have 10 or more posts will NOT have to enter a reCaptcha to create a blog (we will work on this as well for comments). This should lessen the annoyance of our members who are loyal to us and publish content regularly. In the next few months we hope to make some awesome changes to our site and will continue to improve it as time permits. Thank you for being apart of our community! |

![]() Introduction I recently ventured into the realm of Smart Phones with my latest purchase of the HTC EVO 4G by Sprint. Really I have been holding off on upgrading phones mainly due to the fact that I found the data plans to be too much for my needs. Well I have had a mobile broadband card for just general trips with my computer. Well I was doing some searching and I found for less than double the price (about $10 less) of what it cost to run my mobile broadband I could get a new smart phone, so here I am with the new HTC EVO 4G and these are my findings about the phone, to hopefully help you decide if it is right for you. Introduction I just bought my new HTC EVO 4g after doing my research and waiting for a week for the backorders to clear up. Well I finally received my HTC EVO 4g and was going to start off with it by Wireless Tethering. Well following my original instructions, Free Wireless Tethering (HotSpot), yielded now results due to an OTA update that ships with the newest EVO's. Well I set out to find a new method to Root my EVO 4g and to my delight I found it! And my success would not have been remotely possible without the help from the XDA Developer Forums and particularly the thread by jiqqaman titled SimpleRoot .1 ---- 3 Click Root w/ nand unlock!!, which unfortunately, I found out was not the right thread for the newest OTA. For the newest OTA, this thread, SimpleRoot OTA 1.47.651.1 Edition, is the correct one and I have uploaded the file to my site for the first 400 downloads. Without further delay, here is my trials and errors in attempting to root my new HTC EVO 4g! Read the full article at Slunked.com Root and Wireless Tether the HTC EVO 4G Device |

It is nice to be back here on my blog page. I have been absent to all the fuzz and buzz of the blog world. But now that I am back and I would like to start clean. Ok, whats new with my life? I am married now, got married last January. Same guy I had long distance relationship with for 6++ years. Could you imagine that, we actually survived the distance. Well I guess it was meant to be and most of all we love each other. I am happy which is important. I can't wait to have little rascals of my own (LOL). What funny is though they say that when you are married everything change, relationship wise.Of course when you are gf and bf you have all this crazy mushy stuff going on between you, but I say otherwise. Its pretty the same to me. My husband is as mushy and crazy (in a good way, of course). He was so funny... he was telling me about what he was imaging yesterday. Weirdly enough I am loving my married life. It make me more focus in life, more mature. Unlike before I was not sure of what I want. Always searching and unsatisfied with everything I have. Now, I love my life, it might now be perfect but at least I am certain with what I want and need. |

I am totally back... it has been ages since I post on my blog page. So to all my friends... I am not going anywhere.

Hello all, After a long time without much work being done, we have had time to do some basic fixes, which in all honesty should have been done years ago. Aeonity now supports the UTF8 Charset for Blogs, Comments and Templates. We have modified the current templates that were the default ISO and switched them to UTF8. This should make for less "weird characters" being displayed due to copying / pasting from MS Office in particular. This should also help with a few foreign languages. If you find any bugs, please let us know right away through our Contact Form. We also have added a "Linkout" to all links on pages. We are working on a "safe-list" that we will add our dedicated and true members. The logic behind the LinkOut (Which simply adds a top frame to the link) is that many spammers will not like this, which of course pleases us. We have also set all links to have a rel="nofollow" tag. Again, we are working on a system for our loyal users to remove these items for them. But for now we need to keep Aeonity Blog in good standing with sites by not actively linking to known spamming websites. This LinkOut frame page will also help generate Ad-Revenue for Aeonity, which of course is how we are paying for the server now. Currently you will only see Ads on the LinkOut page and in our "sister" section "AB" which has Free Flash Games and Free Flash Soundboards! So if you did not know about this section, we suggest you go check it out. Hours of fun for free! We are constantly working on adding more content and categories to the AB Section. The future plans are to add flash content such as music and videos! Keep checking back, and we will keep you informed of new sections as they come up! Thank you for being Aeonity Blog supporters, and we do apologize for the neglect over the years. Lifes have changed dramatically, but we hope to devote some time this summer to improving our wonderful site! -- Aeonity Development Team |

The past few days I have been digging and diving and reading through many different tutorials about setting up SVN (or Subversion) through Apache2 on Debian based Linux Distro's. After many trials and errors and taking down my webserver a few times I finally was able to get a full on SVN Server for my main website up and running with Authentication over SSL, and here is my tale. Getting Dell WiFi to Work on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala by frost Introduction This morning I found myself ripping my hair out attempting to get my wireless card working on my new dual boot Ubuntu 9.10 / Windows 7 setup. The wireless worked great on Windows 7, but alas, the dreaded Ubuntu Karmic Koala was putting up a fight! Well here is how I was able to get my wireless card to work on Ubuntuo 9.10 Karmic Koala. The First Steps After many hours of googling (I was plugged into a hardline) I had learned nothing about the problem other then feeble attempts at trying to use ndiswrapper drivers to no avail. This was very disheartening, as it seems installing and using ndiswrapper worked for many people. Well unfortunately it did not work for me. Now I am just sitting here twiddling my thumbs and decide to lookup some simple commands I could use to probe and see why my wireless card was not working. It boiled down to 1 command that really caught my attention, "lshw"! lshw Command on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala It seems as though the lshw command lists available hardware on the system. In a desperate attempt I decided to give it a try. Well what came up really caught my attention, under *-network there was a "disabled" next to it. Which caught my attention and got me thinking, why is my wireless card disabled? Well in this line of thinking I stumbled upon another helpful command "lspci | grep Network" which pulled out the listing for the card. To my surprise it told me it was missing something to do with b43. Fixing the missing b43 Well it turns out the b43 firmware was missing for the broadcom wireless card. Well great, thinking of how to fix it I decided to see if there was anything in the Synaptic Package Manager. I do a quick search for b43 and to my surprise on package comes up, b43-fwcutter, which basically extracts the broadcom firmware. Of course I install this package at once! After I installed it, the card did not work. Since this had to do with firmware etc, I decided to try a reboot. Once the computer came back up WOOHOO! My Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala now has Wi-Fi capabilities and connected flawlessly to my networks. Ending Notes Although I was very frustrated at time, I am extremely happy that the solution was a simple one. I decided to write this entry to help others out there with a Broadcom card having the same issue on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. What took me a few hours to figure out, should have been more like 10 minutes to get straightened out. This was a great learning experience for me and I am so happy that I finally got the Wireless card to work! I hope this works and helps you out as well. Other Notes I am not an expert at Linux / Ubuntu by any means. I do not claim to be, as such if the above does not work, I am not sure how to fix it for you. Your question is better directed towards the Ubuntu Help Forums. If this does work, great! Glad I could help. Just an FYI that you posting your problems here means that you are posting them in vain if you are expecting me to fix them for you. Thank you! |

Been up late for too many nights in a row and I feel pretty damn tired finally. I hate when things catch up to me. I run run run, push push push, try to get away with as much as I can. Pushing limits of my sanity, society and political correctness on a daily basis. It isn't that I am extremely active and busy, I just cannot get the rest I require even for my lazy lifestyle. Anyways, although much of my current physical status is due to lack of sleep I am also guilty of a few things I want to change. I need to eat healthier, stop smoking and exercise. Typical things most people want to do, things that I need to do. My body has changed in the last 2 years and it bothers me more than I let myself think. Step 1: Get proper rest. If I could get my sleep schedule straight I would actually have time for eating better and exercising. Those three things would help my life so much, physically and mentally. It would make the bi-polar more friendly too. |

I have had a nauseating vortex of thoughts lately. I cant focus but I ponder over fleeting ideas for a few moments before the next idea or distraction. I guess I am coming to accept that bipolar is real. I am doing pretty great the last few months though. I have learned how to do this without medication pretty well. I decided that it is part of who I am and I don't want to take pills to change that. Writing my thoughts seems to be an effective way for me to cope. The things I wouldn't burden a friend with or don't care to discuss with people I know can be thrown off into the void of the netz. Sure some people I know might read it but it's on their own time and effort. I can be sure I am not being a downer to them. As soon as I can concentrate again I want to plan a day to take photographs somewhere. Not sure where yet but I need to take more pictures. I will be 23 years old in a month and a half. A sense of urgency to take more steps towards my goals is grabbing hold. |
