Google MapsI was at consumerist.com and I noticed this article about Google Maps telling the end user to travel from Chicago, IL to London, UK..they would have to...

  • 18. Turn right at Central St 0.1 mi
  • 19. Turn right at Long Wharf 0.1 mi
  • 20. Swim across the Atlantic Ocean 3,462 mi
  • 29 days 0 hours
  • ...
  • 21. Slight right at E05 0.5 mi 2 mins
  • 22. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto E05/Pont Vauban

That is funny ... but, then again, if someone's looking for driving directions from one place to another that requires you to cross an ocean, then they deserve it ...

Tooooo funny, I just found this the other day by mistake. I was looking for a plce in London, and forgot that I had my default home address here in the states saved. When I saw the line across the Atlantic, I had to look at the directions. It must have been late at night, because I cold not stop laughing out loud. Did not seem so funny in the cold light of day.
