How to Change the Desktop Icon Size in Windows XP

A step by step walkthrough on How to Change the Desktop Icon Size in Windows XP. This can also be done on Windows XP Media Center 2005.

Follow the step's below. You will be able to make the desktop icon's as big or as small as you like.

How to Change the Desktop Icon Size in Windows XP

Go to Start
Control Panel
Double click on the Display Icon
Go to the Appearance Tab
Click on the Advanced Button
In the Item Drop Down Selection choose Icon
Now choose the size. (From 16 to 72)
Click Apply
Ok

Now view your desktop and boom your desktop icon size is now changed. Pretty easy huh? (Just a hard to find area).

This works for changing the icons, how do I just change the font size for the icon name?

I want to change the size of only the icons on the desktop (like the article title claims it to be about), not the default size for all the icons in the system................
