To send mail in Animal Crossing City Folk all you have to do are the following steps. I will number then for you.

How to Send Mail in Animal Crossing City Folk

First you need to obtain some stationary. Tom Nook sells stationary, or look in the recycling bin...if you are lucky you can get some for free.

Next make sure that your friend is in your friends list in Animal Crossing City Folk.

Then go to Town Hall, and mail the letter at the post office.

just drag the item you want to attach to the mail onto the letter you want to send to attach it to the mail

I have a question, I have a friend registered from another town. I want to send her a letter but her name only appears in my friend list not my mail list. Does she have to visit my town before I can mail her a letter? Thanks!

You can't send mail to another town until you actually go there and visit. Once you've visited it'll allow you to send mail from your home town.

ok so i sent a bunch of things (like 20 items) to my friend because im rebuilding my town. well, its really taking its time getting to her. so i was just wondering, if i deleted my town now, would my mail still get to her? or will it only send if i have my current town?

will a neighbour send me a letter back if they are ill because i sent about sixteen letters to Lily each saying "Hi!" without the quotes and an orange (native fruit) attached in the hope that she would send me a different fruit back but she just had a cold (no black-purple swirls) and i gave her medicine so she is all fine and well now but she still hasn't replied to any of them? ps i also sent about 4 letters wth an orange, saying "Hi! How are you?" i think, without the quotes and i think she sent me a pear, a peach and two pieces of furniture back.

Hi - I know how to send mail to people in-town but everytime
I send one to another town, my only choices are :

I'm having the same problem where I've been to a friend's town, they're registered as my friend, I write a letter to them and when I go to mail it, I don't have the option to send mail out of town. What's going on? Is there something you have to achieve before this can be done? I've only been playing for a few days.

To get the "Another Town" option, you need to go to the city and talk to Rover and have him turn on WiiConnect24 for Animal Crossing. If you've done this and still don't have the "Another Town" option, you need to talk to Rover using the phone in your attic and have him turn it on that way. (If you can't use your phone to talk to him, you haven't been to the city--you do that by hopping on the bus near your gate.)

my friend tried to send me a letter but whenever she clicks the button that allows you to send a letter to a person in another town my naame does not appear in the list. We are both registered to each ther. PLEASE HELP!!!
