Today my second Maxtor External OneTouch III arrived.

For those of you that do not already know I had a Power Surge Killed my Hard Drives. The entry can be found at - Power Surge Kills Hard Drives on my blog. Well anyways, I contacted Maxtor last week and they sent me instructions on how to send the hard drive back.

Address to Maxtor
SEAGATE TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL
C/O JABIL GLOBAL SERVICES
5700 SOUTH INTERNATIONAL PKWY, SUITE A
MCALLEN, TX
United States 78503-8879
Phone: 800-468-3472
Fax: 956-664-4725

Well its here and now I am formatting it NTFS. Hopefully this drive will not fail me like the others. If this one dies out, it will be strike 3 for the Maxtor Seagate Company.

Strike 3?

You can't blame Maxtor for the power surge drive failures though, that could happen to any drive.

Or did you have two earlier Maxtors just die on you? I would have switched drive brands by that time though wink.gif Just a thought happy.gif
