Microsoft have released a BETA version of their long-awaited browser, Internet Explorer 7. The new browsers, boasting updates such as tabbed browsing, RSS feeds, and a minimalistic toolbar.

Many of the features mimic that of IE's largest rivil, Mozilla's Firefox browser, which many ex-IE users have switched to in recent months.

This BETA release does NOT require an MSDN subscription for downloading, however proceed with caution: the browser is heavily laiden with bugs!

I don't want my computer crashing and burning. I'm doing a pretty good job of that on my own, I don't need IE7 to do that, also.

As a developer on the net one must use both browsers. Mozilla / IE. In a perfect world there is only one browser, in this one there is two.

Yeah, one browser just kicks the other's ass ....

I agree, I switched to Firefox when one of its earlier versions was released and have never gone back to IE. The only time I use IE is when I'm checking for consistency across browsers for webdesign, but other than that Firefox with tabbed browsing, popup blocking and a bunch of awesome extensions like Tab X, Session Saver, Sage RSS Reader, MiniT, Performancing and FoxyTunes fits me better than IE. In fact recently I want away from Microsoft completely and bought a Mac and I'm lovin it.

Yeah, I don't exactly experiment with extentions, but my Firefox works just fine. And I have loved it ever since last year in my web developing class when my teacher introduced me to it. Other people like it a lot too. That's also why I get notices on my FF shirt from friends at school and random people who work at Starbucks. Stupid school library only has IE...I hate IE...
