This totally reminds me of my past job here in San Antonio. I worked for West Corporation as a contractor for Whirlpool. All I did was credit customers accounts for parts that were wrongfully ordered by either our representatives or our customers. Well I went through so much f'ing crap at that job I figured that I should post this video.
Let me explain the above. I was hired by West Corporation to answer the phone for Whirlpool Appliance Parts. Needless to say my best friend in the whole f'ing world got me another position with the line group to check email...after pure ownage of that job....they asked me to simply do credits. Never answering a phone call again. Well that was it. I would get a piece of paper from Whirlpool Represenatives everyday to credit there customers accounts.

You guys are the only f'ing reason I kept this job so long. Fact being that you too were personal friends, and you knew the crap we ALL went through working for Leonard, Kelly, and Anne. Now that David Kyle is gone, I felt it only proper to let you guys know how we felt.
Ranting by David Polanco:
Well that job sucked. YES IT SUCKED. Not becouse of the job its self but becouse of the Nazi tactics of the management of the linegroup. Kelly, and Leondard. Ya thats right your trader, Lentard. Your guys need to get a life, and stop blaming people for your short comings in regards to your management skills. I did your F'ing job many of many of times, just because you wanted the weekend off...you 2 will get yours someday you putz'z.

This is dedicated to my Ex coworker David Kyle. You knew you were much better than they were, its just the matter that they could fire you at will. You and I are the only people along with JoJo and Roy Toy, that got through this together. Everyone else left. We stuck it through. It made us stronger. David Kyle you got fired in the end, and so did we but...your in a better place now. We love you.

Investors should feel sorry for production people at West Corporation. The pay is low, the upsales are unfair, and management always will have there favorites. If they do not like you, your job will always be in jeopordy. Employee relations at West Corporation does nothing for those in production, they blow it off as a non issue. They corner the low paid into a corner and make excuses for those in management. West Corporation if you would like to call me in for my point of view in regards to all of this please do. You have all my information and I need to state my peace. The only reason why I am typing all this is because I was not being heard by Human Resources, before or after termination. |

I work @ West Niles, Ohio Cingular divison .. I COMPLETELY feel ya.. however we don't have a cubicle we have rows of seats pretty much ontop of each other. They treat us like S*** and expect wonders from us on the phone as the customers call and get creidt they don't deserve and call us everything but the name your momma gave you! WEST does suck!!! Quality numbers .. thought we were there to serve the customer? |

I work at West in Niles and I like it there. They gave me a job when I was having trouble finding one, and with a little hard work I've been able to advance in the company. I've never felt like anyone was treating me unfairly. |

I WAS TERMINATED FROM WEST CORPORATION 05/02/2007 FOR THE REASON OF WEST POLICY VIOLATION, SPECIFICALLY WEAPONS VIOLATIONS.
A COMPLAINT WAS FILED WITH HUMAN RESOURCES 05/01/2007, STATING I HAD A FIREARM ON THE PREMISES.
ON 05/01/2007, APPROXIMATELY 18:10 HRS I WAS SUMMONED FROM THE PARKING LOT WHERE I WAS OFF THE CLOCK AND HEADED HOME AT THE END OF THE DAY BY MY SUPERVISOR MARGIE S. I WAS BROUGHT BEFORE DEBBIE C. IN HUMAN RESOURCES AND INFORMED OF THE COMPLAINT. I ADMITTED-CONFIRMED TO HER THAT I DID HAVE A FIREARM IN THE CAR KNOWING I WAS IN FULL COMPLIANCE OF OKLAHOMA STATUES. AT THAT TIME I INFORMED DEBBIE C. THAT I POSSESSED AN OKLAHOMA CONCEALED WEAPONS LICENSE (CWL) ISSUED BY THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA, AND SHOWED HERE THE LICENSE. I ALSO INFORMED HER THAT THE CWL AUTHORIZED ME TO POSSESS AND CARRY A FIREARM ON MY PERSON, IN MY CAR, AND ON THE PREMISES ACCORDING TO THE OKLAHOMA SELF DEFENSE ACT OF 2005 (THE ACT) AND I WAS LEGALLY ALLOWED TO TRANSPORT UNLOADED FIREARMS IN A LOCKED COMPARTMENT OF MY CAR ACCORDING TO OKLAHOMA HUNTING REGULATIONS. AT THAT TIME SHE REQUESTED A COPY OF THE CWL. I REFUSED DUE TO THE PREVIOUS MIS-MANAGEMENT OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION GIVEN TO WEST CORPORATION.
DEBBIE C. EXPLAINED TO ME THAT SHE WAS REQUIRED TO INVESTIGATE THE COMPLAINT, I AGREED WITH HER. SHE DISMISSED ME. I THEN WENT TO MY SUPERVISOR MARGIE S. AND REPORTED TO HER WHAT HAD TAKEN PLACE. SHE EXPRESSED NO CONCERN, DUE TO KNOWING ABOUT MY CWL. I THEN LEFT THE PREMISES.
ON 05/02/2007 I WAS ESCORTED TO HUMAN RESOURCES AGAIN AND IN THE PRESENCE OF GAIL P.-DIRECTOR OF QWEST PRODUCTION, JAMES W.-SECURITY, APRIL U.-EMPLOYEE RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE, I WAS INFORMED BY GAIL P. THAT DUE TO THEIR INVESTIGATION OF THE WEAPONS VIOLATION ON WEST PREMISES, I WAS TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY.
AT THAT TIME, I INFORMED THEM OF THE CWL I HAD, A BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE ACT ALLOWING ME TO CARRY THE FIREARM AND INFORMED THOSE PRESENT THAT THEY SHOULD CONSULT THEIR CORPORATE ATTORNEY’S BEFORE THEY TERMINATE ME. I WAS BASICALLY INFORMED THAT IF I HAD A GRIEVANCE TO GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OF FILING A GRIEVANCE WITH HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT. I WAS GIVEN MY TERMINATION NOTICE. I WAS GIVEN MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND I WAS ESCORTED OUT OF THE BUILDING.
I WAS TERMINATED BASED ON WEST POLICY THAT IS IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE ACT, TITLE 21 SECTION 1290.22 SECTION B.
THE CARRYING AND TRANSPORTATION OF A FIREARM IS ALSO COVERED IN THE ACT: TITLE 21 SECTION 1289.12, SECTION 1289.13A, SECTION 1289.6 & SECTION 1289.7 WHICH I WAS IN FULL COMPLIANCE. ALSO IN COMPLIANCE OF U.S. CODE TITLE 18 SECTION 926A INTERSTATE TRANSPORTATION OF FIREARMS

I work for the West in College Station, Tx and completely agree with you, not only dose policy suck and managment is not much better, but we even have racis managers that only promote you if you are black or gay. I work for the T-Mobile line group and have been doing the job of a Sr. Rep and even some jobs of a coach for about 6 months and still cannot get promoted, it sucks to be a white male in west college station. |

I used to work for WP Call center in WA state. Yeah F'in sucked! If it wasn't for my cubicle neighbor Heidi giving me caffeine pills and red bulls daily I would not have lasted as long as I did. I was a faithful employee for 2 years putting up with that shit. I'm so glad I left and I promise I will never go back! |

Back in November of 2006 my supervisor talked me into going to the health center to get a flu shot offered by Whirlpool Clyde,Ohio div. I explained to her that i didn't want one.She told me that because of my age it would be a good idea. She then got me a replacment worker and took me to the health center herself! A few days later i started to feel very bad.My toes went numb and the pain in my head was very bad! Finally the doctors discovered that i had contracted Guillain Barre Syndrom. (in my opinion,due to research, the vaccine caused it.) On October of 2007 Whirlpool fired me ,saying i had been off work too long. I was paralized from the illness. I never even got so much as a get well soon card from Whirlpool. But,if you read some off their news articles,they seem to say they take care of everyone. West out here in huntsville sucks shit too. sups take 3 hour lunches and when they get written up the sups write up everyone on the team 3 times. i got a pin for being one minute late from one break in A WHOLE MONTH |

It's no wonder they fired you folks. I see so many grammatical and spelling errors, I would have to fire you for being stupid. I have worked for West Corp., off and on, since 1992 and am currently a "WAHE". I have never been fired or mismanaged by West Corp. It is not West's fault you cannot perform to their or the client's standards. |

So...I just found this site and even though I was not fired from West I have to say that it really freaks me out how many of these statements reflect my own experiences with the company. I just wanted to add to your comments how the managers that tend to break all the rules and violate agent rights end up being the ones who survive while they purposely destroy every innocent agent below them. It's amazing how you can watch management "clicks" argue and plot against each other while you are stuck in the middle. You get stuck doing all the supervisors work so they have time to "please" operations while ER stands by and looks the other way. There is no job stability, no matter what you are made to believe. You can always be replaced. If you want to keep your job, you keep your mouth shut and play the management game of pass the buck. |

I too work at west in Huntsville Ala. it wouldn't be a bad job if it weren't for thr anal ways CSR's are made to follow. The new rule is all 5's on a survey and you are ok, one 4 and all 4's gets you sent home with no pay. I thought the isea was to make the customwer happy but if you miss one step in the decision flow you are screwed, QA is almost impossoble to keep high, the only way you get a portion of the sales you have made is to keep you QA above 86 for 3 months. The pay is embarrasing , i won't cpmplain too much in this economy but it was this way before the economy tanked,one min late and you get a deviation, if you are sick on a Sun or Mon you get a step 3 might as well say fired. Peks there consist of getting a cup if you get all 5's or a ball or if you are real lucky and the whole diision gets above a 4.75 you get to wear jeans that day. latest thing too is you can play 1 game of wii if you get all 5's most of the time though the people that are suppose to help you are over there palying. I have never met a more hostile work enviroment and respect for the CSR's is mostly non existent. this is the only place that i have ever seen that all the employee's are looking for any place else to work so that they can leave. i work for ATT section and the rules have everyone suffering from PTSD. |

myspace.com/clos956 yea i work for west here in harilngen tx and theese F*** boys freakin shut down the site!! we were tha bilingual site and were assured over and over that west was financially "strong" and would close and they just finished telling us yesterday 9/29/09 that they would be closing their doors on 11-30-09 . thats because theres people thatve been working here forever!! im currently a qa and this job sucks a$$.. i never get a "good job" or anything.. then we have a bipolar site directer!! im serious too.. freakin lady will just break down crying randomly at meeting n sh$%! tripped me out.. anyways im going with dish network.. bottom line WEST SUCKS! |
