"well if we aren't that important to you, then I'm sorry. As frustated as I get and as pissed as I get. I happen to actually care about my friends. I would expect them to care about me in return. But I can't force anyone to. So whatever. If you don't care - then don't show up. If you care, then do."

And im expected to drop everything and go hang out with attitudes like that.

"but don't expect me to be there when you decide you want friends again"

I mean, okay??? I love ally my friends. Even when issues arise. I'm by no means perfect, but honestly? People gotta learn to relax. I think we need to put drugs in the worlds water supply. I'm cool without them, but others need to chill when(pardon me) shit happens.

Well, w/e. I mean. I will miss the good times. past and future it seems. I wont miss the bad times. But...think about this with me.

If a course you are taking holds more bad times ahead thangood ones, do you continue down that road. No. You take the good memories and cherish them, and go down the next road and get more good times. And...

I understand that roads have bumps. I can work through those. But when I am at a 'Y', a fork in the road if you will, and to the right is a dead end with rocky terrain, and the left is still vague, I will choose the left because I know the possibilities are wider than what im looking at. And i tell you. I am at a fork in the road with more than a left or a right.

There a re millions of paths for me to go down right now. I am not going to go down a destructive road....its senseless. I plan to take a group of the best people I knwo down a road that is exciting, adventurous, educational, experience building, strenght building, all that good stuff.

Actually, i just think im gonna choose my friends that i think are good for me to be around, and chill with them and see what comes my way. And when opportunities arise for me to be a better person, i will take them. I might even make some opportunites. Who knows,

Well, w/e. Life is pretty sweet. I just got a decent paycheck. Im saving to buy a car.

I want an astro van, or a honda. I think the honda is the best choice, but like i say, w/e.

Yup, work pretty much is amazing. I mean, today is the 8th day straight I've worked. Never more than 6 or 7 hours a day, usually 5, but hey. That's a lot of days. On Tuesday, wednesday and thursday I have off, so that will be nice.

Ummm, saturday night, sittin at home...all alone...ate some ice cream, maybe go watch a movie I don't know. It's not too late to go to the mall and try to meet girls or something like that.(At least I think that would be fun). Bah, maybe I'll call Adam. It's gonna be so lame untill I start meeting new people at school. Most my friends are going away(or don't wanna talk to me).

Ummmm, My head hurts. Sleeping Pills? Not a bad idea. That way I can sleep clear untill the morning and be ready for another busy day.

Peace, ladies and gents...

deathcab4u Money Sucks Aug 15th, 2005 12:46:55 am - Subscribe
Truely I hate money. I want to buy a car and It's deffenitly gonna be three more paychecks before I can do that. Yeah, like, 6 more weeks. Oh well. Best I can do is save, but I still have to buy gas and other things that are important. Ah, well. The bueauties of a society built upon consumption...

Yeah, life pretty much revolves around money, no matter who you are. Even for christians when it's like..."its gods money and all" you still have to worry about giving as much and all that nonsense.

I was thinking how cool it would be to live off the land, survival as your goal in life. Not all about fun and consumption. I know, not a very keen idea. It's still neat to think about.

Where's the balance between consumption and survival. I mean, can you be happy just surviving, or just as happy consuming. Either way there are trials and tribulations. Aches and pains. It's just all on a different level I suppose.

I guess I like the American way best. Consuming. It allows me to go to the movies, waste food, buy excess clothing, spend $5 at starbucks when I'm sure I could instead feed a starving child in africa. Well, if that's what makes me happy right?

And it does. Im a pretty happy fellow. I do wish I had more companionship. Like a more intimate type relationship. No, I dont mean someone to screw, a close person. Yeah, I do miss that from time to time.

I sure would like some pretty emo girl. Straight-edge. harder to come by them these days. To bad you cant just come buy them. That would be the american way. Well, I'm almost positive at school I will meet some people like me. Of course. I mean, there has to be some sort of friendly scene kids that arn't posers and are pretty cool. Okay, w/e.

I'm gonna probably go to bed soon.

Just watched Mystery Men....yey!!!

deathcab4u Breaking News? Aug 17th, 2005 12:15:27 pm - Subscribe
So on my personalized yahoo homepage I have a news ticker. It shows all sorts of important stuff about world conflict, discoveries and U.S. internal affairs. It also has stuff such as Madona fell off a horse and got hurt, and then the follow ups like "She's out of the hospital and doing fine!"

That's good and all. But there's never news about things like congress opening national forests for oil drilling and foresting. Or the genocide taking place in countries throughout the world.

Why are we focused on fricking Madona when nature is being destroyed and people are people are being tortured, raped and starving.

Is it just America, or are all powerful societies left ignorant(or ignorant by choice).

What can I do about it? What do I want to do about it? I mean, is much of it affecting me anyways? Do starving people on the other side of the world make my day worse? I do enjoy nature preserves, I'm an avid outdorsman and environmentalist. So that part does bother me, but not right now. Not today.

So what do I care if Madona headlines on my homepage, not the problems in our own country or around the world.

I'm perfectly content as a middle class citizen living in a distant subarb of chicago, close enough to have traffic and chicago style pizza, far enough away to avoid the crime and crowding. Why, I live a normal enough, easy enough life and as long as that isn't in jeapordy I'll just keep buying expensive clothes and wasting money on overpriced food items.

Check again later for an exciting and different story on consumerism and world ethics!!!

Sorry my posts are long. I hope they read quickly and are interesting though...
