This is ridiculous. I have so much to do and can't think of what any of it is. I am gonna try and make a list, but then I'll prolly be overwhelmed with the ammount of things to get done. Well, w/e. How's life for everyone else? I'm hoping for me it's a little less busy after my court of honor. Theres a lot for me to do still.....aye. Well, I'm gonna go clean the kitchen, it's been a few days and no one can do it as good as I can. Did you know...that it cost me $50 to fill mt tank yesterday....then I ended up driving 42 miles. What a waste I tell ya, well, not really, but it seems like it. I was thinkin about keeping a bike in my trunk and driving halfway to places and the riding from there. Hey...it could work! UDATE: Today, after I wrote this, I got a haircut. And...I figured out that if I get my hair cut every five weeks(cause I need it), it costs 72 cents a day to look good. Go figure. |

Ummm, right. It's all good. Went to my Grandma's for the final birthday party function. Saw my cousins and it was pretty nice. I hope to hang out with them or go to a show maybe. They are into hardcore and punk and such, so it's cool. Ummm, right. I'm startin to pull it all together. I need to find myself a pretty ladyfriend before I go crazy without that kinda relationship. Ummm, that's all. Kinda boring right noe. Yup. |

I feel better. Much better. I just had an amazing time tonight at Rick's small group. There are four of us(me being the new edition). It's great, we all like God, music, and art, and all that. We talked about a lot. I think it's a great group that can get a lot accomplished. I feel renewed. I am excited for what is to come in the days ahead. We all have been sitting on so many plans and ideas that never ger acted upon. We think that it's a possibility to actually act on some of these things. I know I would like to see it happen. |

Today is wednesday. Let me write about tuesday. It was good. I applied at two camera shops and a photo studio. Then I bought some new shirts and a green hoodie. THat was cool, then Ashley and I went to see March of the Penguins, went to the mall(my second time), and she bought a coat at H&M. Then I met her boyfriend. Then we all went on his break. Then Ashley and I went to Applebees and had dinner. What a day? I had a good time. Now I gotta get a lot of crap done. So much to do and I dont want to. Ergh. They need to sell canned motivation, or put it in pills. Maybe if I just get out and moving around, then come back home and keep the momentum. Good plan. Side note....I freakin LOVE this song. June on the West Coast just goes right through my body and warms it all up.....agh, amazing.....one more time... |

ROSS' REVIEW That Thing You Do (1996) In 1964, four guys from Erie, PA record a hit single at a church recording studio. With luck, talent, timing, and a little help from Tom Hanks,we get a personal look at the bilboard climbing band, The Oneders (Wonders). A Beattles spin off band that wouldn't catch most people as original has you planted in your seat cheering them to the top with the "snappy" single, That Thing You Do. As the movie progresses the song never seems to get old, and that's good, because they only play maybe three songs thoughout the entire movie. After they sign with a manager who gets them airplay at the local radio station, the ball really gets rolling. Their manager hooks up with Mr. White (Tom Hanks), a Play Tone Records manager. He gets their song released on Play Tone, and gets them on a State Fair tour across the country with other B-Team Play Tone Acts. We watch as the band and lead singer Jimmy Mattingly's (Johnathon Schaech) girlfriend Faye Dolan (Liv Tyler) travel across the country in a montage of state fairs and billboard rankings. Once the lucky band hits the top ten, Play Tone sees some serious money making opportunities and promotes them to the big league. As the Wonders do publicity acts such as TV shows and movie appearances, the tension starts to build as Jimmy gets antsy to make a new album, the bassist (Ethan Embry)breaks bad news, and all the members have their own plans. Guy Patterson (Tom Everett Scott), the drummer, holds the band together as long as he can. The entire movie builds up weaving a tale of comedy, drama and romance that will keep you involved until the end. Take the time (108 minutes) to watch this movie so you can find out who gets the girl, who makes three gold albumsand so on. All in all, Tom Hanks tells a good story of a one hit "Wonder" with exciting 'ups' and easy to swallow 'downs.' Well worth the free movie rental that I get after renting so many movies. Entertainment Rating: 3 Phillipians Rating: 3 The Phillipians Rating is used to determine the christian values of the film, the ratings go as follows: 1 - Disgraces God's name (Do not watch) 2 - Does dishonor to God's name (Still Shouldn't watch) 3 - Middle Ground (Approved for christian viewing) 4 - Honor's God and promotes christian morals 5 - Glorifies God! |
