It's been exactly a month now, but this is a big time update. I have had some time to reflect and I realized that each year I come to the same conclusion: I hate the way my body looks. I am overweight, I know this. Just this time it was different. This time I said enough is enough and this time I started doing something about it, once and for all. My fat days are over, bye bye hasta la vista baby.
I made this turn around on the 13th and have kept up with it nicely: I have since lost 3kgs in total already. That is 1.5 a week which will get me to my goal weight by mid October, if this keeps going like it is.
All this thanks to eating less, cutting out candy and snacks, inserting more fruit to replace the snacks, and cycling my legs off on the home trainer. There are days where I do 25km, all in 5km intervals though or my butt will be mad at me in not so nice manners *winks*
The first few days are the most interesting.. it is almost like with detoxing from a drug: your body will protest heavily as it relearns where the mark for "full" is situated in the stomach. At first it will continue to scream for food, even when you have eaten.. lemme see.. 3 apples, 2 bananas, half a pound of strawberries, half a pound of cherries, and two allowed snacks that are low fat.
You can see where the body is simply not telling you that it is full, since you spoiled it too much and kept feeding it, even though it didn't need to eat. Just to "do" something you stuffed it.
Anyway this era is over and done with and I am going back to the weight I was at back in 2000, and I will at least attempt to stay around that weight and not get too far above it again. Giving myself the space of 3kgs up and down of that value to float in so to speak.
I felt ok at that weight, and I most certainly wasn't fat, like I feel I am now. I am not at the heaviest I ever was thank goodness, I never reached that weight, but it got to be damned close.
Another new thing is a new cell phone. The T600 unfortunately had died, but I was able to transfer the simcard to a new lock free phone, the SonyEricsson J120i. Trust me, and hear me deaf people in the world: SonyEricsson is good for people who have trouble hearing! I have just assessed that the volume when maxed out rises above the maxed out volume of other brands. In other words: you can HEAR this brand where you cannot hear others anymore. Something worth considering.
That is about it on the major updates I think. Oh yeah, I got a Dremel tool which I am going to FINALLY try out tomorrow.
