BMW Reveals Specs on New M3 Engine

BMW has leaked information about the release of the new M3 engine that’s fitted in the BMW’s M3 Series. It seems like the compact sports car’s powertrain parts of the new engine will be quite a tour de force.
The new engine will be a V8 that’s for sure. Its significant particulars adhere to its performance coupe stakes. Sources have claimed that the BMW M5 is equipped with a V10; a meager six-cylinder powerplant is no longer adequate enough for the M3. So BMW’s engineering team hastily but meticulously snipped off one engine bank from the V10 and voila! A new and blazing V8 powerplant is born.
The M3 V8 engine is one powerful unit. The engine bay is equipped with four liters running on 420 horses with a 295 pound-feet maximum torque at 3,900 rpm. Also, 85 percent of torque is available from just 2,000 rpm which will probably be enough to thrust the M3 to 60 mph neck-snapping acceleration speed in just a couple of six seconds.
Though BMW has not yet explained the preliminary number specifications yet, they have unveiled the technical cues of the engine. It is made of alloy composite that carries only a total of 445 pound. Its features included are the variable camshaft control, upgraded MSS60 engine control unit for optimum coordination of all engine functions, double VANOS valve lift system (perfects the cylinder charge cycle), eight individual throttle butterflies for each cylinder (a technology commonly used in motorsport), Brake Energy Regeneration with alternator control (which ensures intelligent engine current management), innovative exhaust system optimizing cylinder charge, flow-optimized air intake and an outstanding Ion flow technology.
