Say you have a Honda or an Acura and you want it to go faster, chances are, you would be thinking of upgrading your engine. It's either you buy performance enhancing parts or replace the engine. Of the two, the second step is guaranteed to give you instant increase in speed especially if you choose an engine with a better power output. If you opt for that, you should have these according to Wikihow:

Here's the step by step guide for changing an engine. Remember though that if you are not sure about what you are doing, better leave it to technicians who know what to do.

The site also offers tips to make your job easier and safer. Here are these tips:

Since Honda and Acura are some of the simplest vehicles around, owners of Honda and Acura vehicles are more inclined to swap engines along with other parts such as Acura CL cargo liners.

The 19th-20th Century Fuel Cell Engine

Have you ever wondered where fuel cell engines originated, or in what era they were introduced? If you don’t have any idea, join me in my journey going back to the 19th and 20th centuries with my so called “time machine” courtesy of my source. Let’s ride and roll out!

The 19th Century

1838: Swiss scientist Christian Friedrich Schönbein discovered the idea of fuel cell engine and was enhanced by a Welsh scientist named Sir William Grove.

1843: A plan was published and Welsh Scientist Sir William Grove produced the first-ever fuel cell.

The 20th Century

1959: A 5 kW stationary fuel cell was effectively improved by British engineer Francis Thomas Bacon.

1959: Harry Ihrig directed a group that constructed a 15 kW fuel cell tractor that was showcased across the United States at every state event. The system made used of potassium hydroxide as the electrolyte and compressed hydrogen and oxygen as the reactants.

1959: Francis Bacon and his associates exhibited a convenient five-kilowatt unit that is able of generating a welding machine.

1960s: Bacon's exclusive rights were licensed in the United States where the ideas were used in the space program to provide electricity and drinking water.

Late 1980s and early 1990s: Fuel cells became a valid option for expanded purpose base. Several ground-breaking technologies helped take in the cost of fuel cells down and permitted making modifications of PEMFC systems.

Gasoline On A Diesel Engine

Diesel vehicles are becoming more and more popular among car buyers. With the price of gasoline increasing steadily, more and more auto buyers are looking for fuel efficient vehicles. European automakers have responded with increased dedication to producing clean diesel engines. Since diesel is generally priced lower than gasoline, a diesel vehicle may be more attractive to buyers than gasoline engined vehicles. But there is as growing problem with the popularity of diesel engines.

Thanks to this site, I found out that there are a lot of motorists in the United Kingdom who have inadvertently refilled their diesel engines with gasoline or petrol as they call it. This happens because new diesel engines are performing and sounds like gasoline engines. In the past, diesel engines are known for their noisy operation and black emission. Bu today, diesel engines are smooth-operating powerplants. Motorists sometimes forget that they are driving a diesel and inadvertently refill their tanks with gasoline.

This is a costly mistake as diesel engines are lubricated unlike gasoline engines. Putting gasoline on a diesel engine will remove the lubrication intended for diesel operation. This can lead to metals rubbing against each other and eventually wearing out engine parts. Repairing the damage done would be quite expensive, more than what Subaru accessory parts are worth.

According to the aforementioned site: "The fuel pump and injection systems and filters will likely need to be replaced on new models, while an entire engine could be wrecked beyond repair if it has been run for long enough. Regardless of the extent of the damage, the repair bill could potentially run into thousands of pounds." One of the best solutions to this is turning off the engine immediately upon notice. Then one should drain the tank and have an expert technician handle it.

What Happens To The Tesla Roadster

Almost everybody is excited about the new Tesla Roadster and because some car enthusiast can no longer wait for the next version of the most anticipated electric car, they tried to do something about it. To make sure that people who are interested in getting what they expect from the Tesla, as a part of the Customer Drive program in October, they provided some prototype drives to prove such. One of those lucky enough to get behind the wheel was Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Michael 'Flea' Balzary. Below are some of his comments regarding the experience:

"I get into it and pull away from the curb…… dead silence wow!!!!…. Man it was unbelievable. It drove like nothing I have ever been in before, made my Porsche feel like a golf cart! It took off like a rocket ship, handled so sensitively, it was just amazing and fun and thrilling. I am so happy I went with my gut and bought that car. Yeah it is a long wait, but man, the thing is awesome. The silence makes ya feel like you are floating, and it just rocks, it was the funnest car, I have ever been in, with the possible exception of Hillel Slovak’s Datsun B210 in 1979, he was the only guy I knew who had a car, and we listened to lot of Zeppelin in there…. To enjoy driving as much as is possible in that Tesla, and to pollute nothing, no emissions, into the air, is a great great feeling."

Flea also plans to use the solar power in his home as a source of electricity to recharge the batteries of the new Tesla. Too bad, the car will be coming out in the US car market in the spring of 2008. But it doesn’t have the Mercedes struts. Nice. For a great new video of the Tesla in action, check out a clip from Mahalo Daily!
