Settling

We got a two bedroom apartment in a duplex
over in Empire (Coos Bay). It's not the greatest
of places but it's decent enough to have a big
fenced in yard that we don't have to share with
the neighbors. My mother sent us some money
because we're really broke right now.. the
deposit itself was almost a grand.

Scam Artist

I don't even know what's going on anymore.
One night I want to plan to go back to MA
more than anything, the next I'm making
plans to move out with Harley. We spent the
entire day viewing different apartments and
it finally came down to two choices. A duplex
for $495 (sewage and lawn care included) or
a triplex for $425 with all utilities included
minus electricity. The triplex is pretty much
too good to be true. There is supposedly a
'pilot' living up on the third floor and we
would get total run of the first and second
floor. Harley wants to use the unfinished first
floor for his band practices and have our
apartment up on the second. The only
problem is that I posted an apartment
wanted ad on CraigsList and an Asian man
replied by contacting Harley. Apparently, he
took out out a loan from the bank to buy this
home to fix it up and rent out the rooms.
75% of it was finished but he had never paid
off his loan to the bank and owes $15,000
for it. They threatened to foreclose about
five months ago but he hasn't heard
anything about it since. People have told him
that the banks around this area are just
letting houses go at the moment due to the
economy situation. At any time, which could
be the day after we move in to maybe even
a few years from now, we could definitely be
evicted. If this happens, I know that we can
just easily look for another place. I'm sure
they'd have to give the tenants at least 30
days to find a place. We can't even prove
for sure that this place is his. Supposedly,
he knows the neighbor quite well and
someone else lives there but we have yet to
see proof of any of that. When he met us
there, he didn't even have a key.. he
claimed to have misplaced it. He had a
bunch of tools and was just going to break
in. Tomorrow before we get there, we were
told that he would change all of the locks
and actually show us the inside. We were
only able to see the downstairs because he
had the key for that one. What I think is that
he might be a contractor that doesn't
actually own the building and knows that the
owners won't be back for a long while so he
plans on making some cash off of us, has a
key to the first floor because he hasn't
finished working on that one yet. Maybe he
is legit, but I'd like to find out for sure
before we go blowing our saved up cash on
anything. Harley is ecstatic that he'll have a
place to play his drums so he's set on
getting this place. Since he has most of the
money for it, he doesn't even care about my
opinion and is now treating me like shit all
over again. I really don't know what to do.

Masshole

PMS: regretful

I've been living on the west coast for about
three months now. I love how peaceful and
beautiful it is, but why does it have to be so
fucking boring? I miss knowing almost
everyone in the city but at the same time it's
really nice to not have to look over my
shoulder when I walk down the street (not
like I can really walk too many places
seeing as how everything is on a goddamn
hill!) My fiance, Harley and I fight like all the
friggen time and his grandmother hates me
for it even though he's usually the one being
an asshole toward me. We've been staying
at her house, btw. BAAHH!! I'm a Libra so I
like to keep the peace at most times. I had
a job at The Dollar Tree but during an
argument with the beau, I missed my
scheduled workday so now I'm only
employed with KGB (542 542).

Harley went off really bad last night;
insulting and stating how he despises me
and wishes I would just go back to MA. He
tried to leave the room to go out in the
middle of the night so I sat in front of the
bedroom door, trying to prevent him from
going. The entire time, keeping silent and
listening to him ramble on about how
horrible I am and ripping apart the room in
the pitch black (I was blocking the switch as
well) looking for his boots that I hid on him
so that he wouldn't leave me. Eventually, he
used force and severely bruised up my
arms. NO EXAGGERATION!

The whole argument started because he was
sleeping, I was watching a movie in bed
when he woke up to go smoke a cigarette.
When he returned into the room, I tried to
hold him and he bitched at me for watching
a movie while working at my internet job
(because I wasn't showering him with
attention in his sleep!)
