Education is the foundation of human existence. The pursuit of intellect is the trial of an individual's will to power. This power may be monetary, societal, political, educational, or militaristic. In all of these examples, education is the core of success. Void of any educational foundation, one cannot attain the lofty goals of financial worth broadcasted via modern media. The same is true for political and societal examples. Education is integral to one's aspirations to become a notable member of society. Since education is the lifeline of modern societies in terms of success, we must look at a fundamental aspect of its purpose. The purpose of education is to enlighten one, making them capable of deconstructing rational thought, rendering them the ability to think critically. This is the fundamental tenant to my educational philosophy. Without the ability to critically think and rationalize, one cannot deconstruct meaning and arrive at a precipice from which he/she can launch forth into further academic inquiry. Thus, deconstruction and critical thinking skills are inseparable from "education." -Within the profession of teaching, a fundamental question must be asked, "are all children capable of learning?" I answer this question confidently. No. The question is entirely too broad and encompasses "every" child. However, "most" children without any mental handicap can learn. While most children are capable of learning, it should be stated that not all children learn on the same level. Nevertheless, our focus should be directed towards educating those capable of learning to the fullest extent. Children should be taught ways to analyze and think. This is in some ways, different from what they are actually being taught in grade school. Here, a vast majority of classroom time is spent on memorization and the regurgitation of fact. This is fundamentally bankrupt. The regurgitation of fact void of critical application and analysis is useless. Robots can regurgitate fact. They cannot mediate and rationally think. This is what our children need to be taught early on, as opposed to the continuance of bankrupt teaching methodology, based on fact memorization. -I have been motivated to engage in teaching and potentially become a professor someday for two reasons. First, I was raised in a household where my father and the entire side of his family were school teachers and coaches. Secondly, I have always loved education and the pursuit therein. Furthermore, I have always wanted to play a part in helping others learn how to analyze and critically think. I have chosen to take my place in education in the military, as an army officer. It is here that I will lead my soldiers and assist them in learning how to become better soldiers and intelligent human beings. Education and learning is as needed here as it is anywhere. In some cases, even moreso in the military. With the amount of money spent on our military personnel, it is safe to say that their education is valued immensely. I have decided I operate better in a strict environment in which military doctrine is soundly kept first and all training and thought is coalesced around it. The ability for soldiers to critically think is more important now than ever. Our government is sending these soldiers to combat and their weaponry is not what will keep them alive and safe. It is their minds. A soldier's mind and brain are his best weapon. I seek to consult this reality and teach men that have chosen arms as their profession so that they may serve their nation, government, and people in a more safe and efficient manner. I have been motivated by the selflessness innate in military service and the reality of these individual's need to be educated. -My ability to relate to my peers, subordinates, and superiors is a keen asset in terms of success as it pertains to teaching. I know that I will be a fine asset to the military and my men because I will place their well-being, physical and mental, above all other things. I have committed myself to this because I understand the success of our army as whole is dependent upon the well-being of the soldier. My tireless commitment to education and intelligence as manifest in my collegiate pursuit of higher education. My desire to learn will spread like wildfire amongst my men and this will be the core of our training. I believe people of all walks of life yearn on varying levels to learn. What they seek to learn is different but all social creatures yearn to know. Knowledge is power and all people should seek to embolden power and its foundational principle - education. -As it relates to early childhood education, parents play an important role, in theory. The sad state of this nation in terms of familial relations has made the previous statement a theoretical ideal as opposed to a reality unfortunately. Since more and more parents are less concerned with the education of their offspring, it is the solemn duty of the government to ensure our nation's youth are educated and taught to think. I posture that a different method of teaching should be utilized. As briefly mentioned above, our youth should be taught to "think" and not to "cite" fact. Our government should coalesce its teaching around this method of teaching at early stages in childhood education. The earlier a child or pre-pubescent individual is taught to think critically, the better prepared they will be for middle school and high school. -The level of importance that my professional identity plays in the educational process is foundational in terms of my will to knowledge and my commitment to share it with others. Identity on all levels is socially construed. Thus, one learns differently from his/her peer. However, though our youth learn differently, the foundational tenant of their education can be the same. For example, one child may learn more efficiently by virtue of visual application. This student can still adhere to critical thinking skills in his/her learning just as the student that learns better by hearing applications. Though identity might different among our youth, their fundamental path to learning can be steeped in critical thinking and keen analytical skills from early on. -My hopes for the youth of our nation are simplistic in theory. I hope to see our youth taught the methods of deconstruction and analytical skills. It is my solemn belief that once this is learned or mastered, our youth will learn on higher levels all across the nation. Given, children will adhere to different learning methods, they will still flourish more effectively in the academic realm once they learn how to deconstruct thought and critically analyze words and thought.

Epistemology and ideology are two terms with similar meanings. It is imperative for the sake of logic and understanding that these two terms be given some sort of definitive realm. Epistemology, then, can be collectively stated to be a branch of philosophy concerned with the scope and innate nature of knowledge. This can be understood as the basis for questions such as, “what is knowledge,” “how is knowledge acquired,” “what do people know,” and “how do people know what they know,” respectively. Epistemology, essentially, then, addresses these concerns and inquisitions. Ideology, then, can be collectively stated as being a set of goals, aims, or beliefs, of a certain sect of people, politically speaking. Thus, the centric focus of ideology is to offer change by virtue of normative thought amongst the masses. These two terms are both subjective to the theory of postmodernism. However, the fore-mentioned critique in terms of science consists of two fundamental, systematical, and inclusively interrelated entities, epistemology and ideology. If science is presumed based on objectivity, then through the lens of postmodernist theory, it cannot be. This is so because all fact is relative to modernity.

Sitting in an empty house on a simple chair in the corner of an empty room on a wooden floor with nothing between here and where i came from except for a girl waiting for the bus with a leather knapsack over her shoulder and hope in her eyes and enough beauty to fill this empty room a thousand times Like you like you just like you like you She ties her legs in a bow and like butterflies her eyes clothes then her soul stretches like paint in the rain she breathes her arms fall up stretching up reaching she moves the sun Like you like you just like you like you
