Why do you care

I just read in my school's newspaper that they legalized gay unions in Iowa. I say, good for them!
And now, other states are going to try and turn that around so that gays cannot be married.
Why the hell do you give a damn, people?
Do it really affect YOUR life if two people got married?
If an alcoholic and a meth user got married, had kids and abused them... it's okay... as long as they're a man and a woman? That's okay?
No... it is not okay.
Leave them alone and let them be married. It's called a civil union anyway...
I just don't understand why people all over the country have to worry about a few couples here and there. If you see a couple walking together in the grocery store, does it really matter if they're married or not?
Let them be WED!
Go read a book or something instead people. You'll get more out of it than bitching about something that DOES NOT concern you.

I don't claim to be a know-it-all when it comes to what people are wearing, but I do think I know when something is hideously ugly.
Footed tights + flats = ugly
spandex pants - skirt or shorts to cover your ass = trust me... NO ONE wants to see that
sweatshirts - shoulders = stop stealing from the 80s.
legwarmers = ew...
ugg boots + sweat pants = stop trying to look like everyone else
coach purse - most of the purse = the most expensive pair of shoes you'll ever own... and for what reason?
Guys are lucky. They just dress the same all the time... with the exception of those who've acquired the nickname "douchebag." What's wrong with jeans and t-shirts and sweat shirts and normal shoes?
Why does it matter anyone... thinking that you're keeping up with the fashion trends? In my opinion, no one is "keeping up" because everyone has been regressing to what has already been. Props for taking an old fad and "making it new..." but your attempt falls a little flat when it's WORSE than the original (footed tights with flats).
Ew.
Have a lovely day.

Are there no real people on this website interested in writing and reading other blogs. I just looked at the recently updated blogs, and ALL of them are advertisements! I understand that these companies have the freedom to create an account here and publish stories, but why flood us with useless advertisements when personally, I would rather read something deeper with thought put into it.
Go away advertisement blogs. No one wants you.
Our world is too based in technology anyway... and as I say this I'm sitting in a computer lab on campus. Ha. It's just scary how constantly we are flooded with advertisements and such that are vying for our attention all the time. I especially hate the banners that talk and tell you that you won something. There's no way to get away from those!
And the worst is the ads for losing weight. I think I've seen these the most on facebook. Pictures of girls' bellies that are huge, dimpled and disgusting looking just sit there on the side of my screen. It makes me sick. 1) I don't want to see that. if I did.. i'd look in a mirror.. 2) your product doesn't work anyway. stop bothering me.
I guess this was a rant about advertising. Sorry. But I feel better now, and I must get to class.
Have a wonderful day.

I'm not sure if I'm alone in feeling this, but how can someone you think matches you so well not see it too?
How can you be so comfortable with another person, just to have them say they don't feel the same?
And how you can you care so much about someone, and put so much effort into it, and clean up their puke when they're drunk...
and it still means nothing?
Am I alone in this?

The Break Up

The Break Up... is a movie starring Vince Vaughan and Jennifer Aniston.
I know that it's been out on DVD for a while, but I just saw it for the first time today.
Essentially the point of the movie is that this couple meets at a baseball game, fall in love and their relationship progresses to the point where they own a condo together in Chicago. After a bad night, the two get in a fight and break up, but they have to continue living together. The rest of the movie is Brooke attempting to make Gary jealous or something. Anyway, they do weird crazy things to each other to get back at each other and blah blah.
I have to say that I'm not a fan of this movie. I felt very awkward watching it, because they fought all the time, and put their family and friends in awkward situations having to see them fight all the time.
I also felt annoyed by the end. Brooke tries to get Gary to go to a concert with her and he stands her up. After that they both have realizations that are the opposite of each other.. Gary wants to change but Brooke doesn't feel the same anymore. I think this bothered me because I didn't feel like there was enough development showing how the characters got to this point. Brooke was just as guilty as Gary of pissing each other off. She tried to date guys. Gary had a strip poker game. I couldn't side with either of them.
And Brooke leaves. Just like that. A relationship that they must have put a lot of time and effort in ends just like that, even though Gary has chosen to change.
The ending was the worst. They meet on the street and have a very awkward conversation. It's obvious during this part that Brooke doesn't want to talk to Gary, and Gary still has feelings for Brooke. The whole part was really uneasy and weird. Then they walk away from each other. When the credits rolled, I yelled "That's IT??!!!?"
Anyway, I guess I'm a sucker for happy endings, but really? There was really no conclusion to the story because one has moved on the other hasn't. I was left wanting more.
So that's my rant about this movie. I watched Hookwinked after that, which was a little better, but that's a whole different story.
