(sorry blog, I've been neglecting you! not nice.) so it's pretty great to have a functioning toe again, after about 4 weeks of taking only baths and wearing the stupid shoe, and not being able to do any physical activities without pain. being slightly addicted to darvocet was fun and all, but now that I can ride my bicycle and skate and not just sing wistful songs about doing those things, who needs 'em, I say! the toe is looking a lot friendlier, too, though sometimes still reddish and/or purple. oh yeah, didn't somebody once say something about comedies being more difficult to write than tragedies? successful ones, anyway? yeah, well, screw that, 'cause comedies are way FUNNER to write. I've been watching so much tim & eric that I've practically memorized some of their sketches, and thinking that Jess and I really need to get on top of our documentary production. we have some really GOOD, FUNNY stuff. something about being BFFs just makes what we come up with that much better, like the combination of our unique brainpowers creates some sort of BFF magic. pretty sweet. speaking of pretty sweet, I am hosting an art show june 12th, next friday!! WHOOP WHOOP. It's probably going to have some BFF documentary goin' on, as well as a grand feast, some beautiful paintings by my beloved BF, crazy video stuff by the famed teddy bear, and shen's fantastical clay and paper creations! among many others. shen and I got together recently and made artist trading cards, rad little things. they're just big enough to fit one dada poem, so they're basically, um, perfect. aaaanyway. the plan for today/tonight is to break some laws, make some art, and have some laughs along the way with the good ole a-town folk. we'll see how much of that business actually happens. you never know, by the end of the night I might have added even MORE 15-second clips of animals doing random things to the growing store on my phone.
