Can you say: Strange Political Crap?

Finally getting back to writing something constructive. I totally messed up my history assignment, but... err... I couldn't really care less, since it's a preliminary version anyway. School was a nuisance, and what's worse, we went to some higher education expo thingie, which was an even bigger nuisance. Oh well, it could all be worse, couldn't it?
I did nothing yesterday, and haven't been doing muhh today either, though I have been sleeping longer than usual, I'm still sick (but not quite sick enough to skip school).
And then there's the MAvericks. What on Earth are they doing? This week is going to be an absolute nightmare for them, unless they make a Herculian effort, this seek has one of the toughest schedules for them in the season.
Speaking of basketball, I went to a provincial game yesterday. Hilarity all around. Zedelgem, the team I've been supporting for year (even though my brother has quit the team, and the sport, for some time now), was playing Torhout, a team ranked even lower than Zedelgem, and also housed in the city where I go to school. So, after bumping into the school principal (who was going to a juniors volleyball game, where his daughter plays), we were treated to one of the most abysmal (but funniest) matches I have ever seen.
Zedelgem won the match, 80-69, but the shooting was horrible. Zedelgem missed lay-up after lay-up, and though they were trying to shoot threes all the time, only a couple found the hole. We were lucky that one of the Zedelgem players is an expert in free throws, since that put some distance between the two teams in the end. He drained almost all of his free throws, and even scored a 3-pointer near the end to finish Torhout off. A strong performance by this guy, but overall it was pretty bad.
What was even worse, however, was the crowd watching. The funny thing is that there were almost no Torhout supporters present, I guess they wer all watching the girls playing volleyball (which included my brother... people knowing him shouldn't find that overtly surprising). Anyway, the crowd. The most "shocking" thing I witnessed was this young kid (who couldn't be older than 10) yelling at Torhout players as they tried to score. "Motherfuckers! Motherfuckers!" though it ended up sounding more like "MOtherfeckers! motherfeckers!" anyway, he was there with his older brothers, who weren't discouraging him either.
Obviously, provincial basketball isn't good for your child's education, please try to avoid it.
And on that onte, I bid you farewell.
Or not, I almost forgo mys ubject... which basically means I'm bashing my head to try and figure out all the political garbage I'm sifting through (on maritime security), and it doesn't help that my head (or my brain, more like) isn't cooperating today. Oh well, now I'm really shutting up. Sleep.

Ah, the cold. What a miraculous phenomenon it is. Well, I'm stuck with it now, I can only hope it doesn't get worse. I think I'm going to get som sleep shortly, my head feels like it's being weighed down by ... something heavy. Ahem.
the Spurs trampled the Wizards, just like I expected them to, and now the MAvericks better kill the Warriors, or I'm going to... err... rant about it. The Lakers got a pretty good smacking of their own, it seems that without Shaq they aren't worth much (he didn't play this game either, did he? didn't bother to check, doesn't erally matter anyway). I remember heir previous loss to the Clippers, even though Bryant scored a whopping 44, thhey still lost.
Ah, basketball, such a wonderful sport (in Bvelgium it almost looks like kickboxing, by which I mean that in lower-class basketball, which I normally watch since my brother plays there, the crowd can get rather nasty).
I guss I just messed up sentence structure to the core, so let's see what else I've got to tell you guys. Hmmm... Well, tomorrow should be moderately interesting... we've got a meeting ocncerning this Europolis thing, a program where a bunch of students from our school (and other schools too) get to visit the European parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg. Tomorrow's meeting's for Brussels, and we each have to bring three people with us tha t might be remotely interested to go with us. I've only got two at the moment, and I don't really feel like getting a third, since I simply wouldn't know who I could bother with this. We'll see, perhaps some happless soul has nothing better to do.
Progress on HIstory Assignment: Zip. W00t. Anyway, I'll give it a look tonight, after I get some sleep.
Take care everyone, I'll see you next time.

I don't really know what to say. I'm baffled by the NBA results. The MAvs were given a good kicking away to the Jazz (which I didn't expect), and then the Spurs bash the Nuggets it almost seems Denver is nothing at all, and they should be quite a decent team. There were other results I didn't really expect, overall it wasa pretty rocky day when it comes to the NBA.
As for my day, I haven't had such a laugh ina while. Our history teacher came in with some typical errors in the exam last semester, I'l sum up the most hilarious of 'em.
- The Atlantic Ocean appearing in all kinds of weird places, like South of the African continent, in place of the PAcific Ocean and the like.
- PEarl Harbor suddenly reappearing on the Eastern side of the US (how the hell did the Japs get there anyway), or in New Zealand.
- Northern Africa suddenly teleporting to Peru.
- Berlin ramming PAris out of the way.
- Al Qaeda being a progressive movement in Israeli politics.
- Someone claiming NOrthern France was once a communist entity
- Vietnam suddenly appearing where Saudi Arabia is supposed to be.
Well, you get the idea. Then there was someone who thought they speak Russian in Iraq. Help! My lungs'll burst!
We also had an info session about higher-level education, which was... not that interesting, though there are more interesting sessions coming up later.
That's about it really, the rest was pretty bland. Take care, see y'all tomorow.

School Has Started Once More...

Ah, another day, another entry (sort of). Today, school has rtarted again, bringing me a light headache (I guess I'm not really used to it anymoer, that'll change). Still zip on that assignment, but at least it's okay if we deliver it on Friday, so I still have loads of time.
The MAvericks are facing the Jazz tonight, and it's crucial for them to win if they even want a slight chance of ripping second place in the Midwest from Minesota. I'm kind of anxious for the MAvs game against the Pacers, that should be very interesting, one of the most offensive-minded teams against one of the best defensive teams of the league.
Boy, I had all kinds of laughs today, from people nto knowing Egypt was an islamic country, to the Horros of the Horoscope (TM), these kinds of things really freak me out sometimes... so, supposedly I'm lazy, how cute. I don't really think that's true, it depends really, I can be lazy when it comes to schoolwork, I just do what I want to do at the time, if you call that lazy, that's fine by me.
Argh... physics is such a pain, I just couldn't pay attention in class today, it was something about Newton's laws on kinetics and such things, whatever. Perhaps I'll give it a look this weekend just to get a feel for it, didn't sound too hard from the few minutes I did pay attention.
That's about it from me today, I4ve wasted too much of your time already (isn't that what blogs do, heh). Cheers.

Yay for the Mavericks!

HEre we go again. Well, the subject sort of say it all, since I'm feeling rather happy that the MAvericks beat the T-wolves yesterday, and I wasn't very hopeful... the T-wolves are in good form, and they have some very good players that can get things done offensively, like Garnett and Cassell. Oh well, they got out of that one alright.
Other than that, I'm also pretty happy about Georgia's presidential elections, seemed to go pretty smooth, except for the areas who boycotted it, of course. :S
I STILL have to really get going on my history assignment, and I should know better, but that's just me, I suppose. I'll get it done nonetheless, after all it's just an early version we have to finish for next week, so no worries.
Not much else to report that I can think of right now, and I don't have much time, so I'm signing off. All the best to y'all.
