In regards to my previous blog and the whereabouts of this desired location...

Harrison Mills District: Fenn Lodge

I have also been informed that some construction and revamping has been done to the house. But it looks great! After staying there and talking to the current owners who purchased the property from Ella Pretty *yes this land is apart of the Pretty Estates, this one belonging to the last born son, Fenn* The original house aparently burnt down sometime ago, and this is the newer house built in 1903 as a private hunting and fishing lodge for the family.

Meanwhile has anyone seen the sale of lots at Harrison River? The lots were going for around 80grand. However to build the house, could cost more like 300grand. Ouch. But for the land and considering the value is only going up, I would say it is quite a steal.

However, Developers have bought some river front property for once again aprox 80grand. But they are now re-selling for 400grand!! Ah!??!

When reading these, take notice that there are several levels of which to be categorized or characterized as “good”. But when reading the definition of evil, there is an overall definition and a singular generalized level of being “bad”. This definition is not slow to place the two levels of “bad” and “evil” together.

It seems to be common in our world today to categorize things as good and bad, better and best. Why is it when we categorize things as ‘good’ they can always be better? Why is it when we categorize things as ‘bad’ they can seldom be worse.

If someone does something cruel or wicked they can be quickly categorized as “bad” or “evil”. When analyzing the language closely, something cruel is in fact “evil”, not bad. These two terms are very different. Especially when standing from a religious perspective.

There are many levels of being “good”. In fact, being “good” is the lowest level before being “bad”.

Evil
Worse
Bad
Satisfactory
Good
Better
Amazing
Exceptional
Superior
Best

So in being good, are we subjecting ourselves into being “bad”. In example: A man who is cynical and suppose also a criminal, if he were to commit a murder or show good politesse this would in either situation keep him in the general category and level of being “bad”. It is rare for someone to label “evil”. Suppose someone did label “evil” onto him. This would not prove shocking. Yet it is more often proven “expected”.

If a man is exceptional and does not commit a crime but simply has bad politesse for a day or two, his social expectancy and level drops to a third level of “good”. When we view real estate or go to a restaurant, there is always favoritism and ranking. There are those that are bad. There are others that were better, best and superior.

By society creating levels of “good” and a generalized level of “bad” it opens a gate way for further criticism, gossip, chaos, and above all hierarchy. It opens a gate way that allows for being “bad” to be easy and gives leeway to these practices. There is not as much shame in being bad as there is in being amazing and then being good.

Good & Evil- Sinner beyond redemption.

If you are good and a sinner are you evil?

Everyone is a sinner. Not everyone is evil. So if sin is evil, how are you not evil? These simple questions answer: are you sin? No. Are you made in the image of God? Yes. So how can something made in the image of God sin?

If God knows good and evil, then we shall know good and evil. However God does not practice evil therefore he is not possessing of or derived from that of evil.

How can someone sin and not be evil?

It all depends on the origin of the sin. Was it intention? If your intentions are good, this does not make you evil. However if you know your intention and the outcome, (supposing the outcome is bad) this makes your intentions evil. Which in turn suggests that you yourself are evil. For those of you who are religious opinions may vary…

-You are evil as long as long as you have evil intentions
-You are evil as long as your intentions are “consistently” evil
-You are not evil; there is a seed of evil in you that need be prayed out
-Dependable on how “often” these evil intentions and acts take place

This last point introduces something other than evil intentions. What if you are not consciously aware of your intentions, only your acts? If you are aware that your acts are evil, than the result of this again may vary to the previously made three points. However one may also add another point, that if you knowingly commit an evil act once or twice this is already evidence that you are evil.

So how can we grasp for redemption in life when we are sinners? Do our intentions derive from that of good or evil? This is why God does not judge us by how many cars we buy or how many relationships we go through or how good our politesse is. He judges us through our hearts and the spirits in which we derive these intentions from.

I would enjoy reading others' thoughts on this as well. So please if you would, spare a few words...
