An example of a random rant:

A stereotype is a label given by others that barely know you that places you within a group of people that you don’t know, don’t hang out with or may not even know exist. How then can you be placed among a group of people that u don’t know? Simple, the person who is judging you doesn’t know you either.
Clothing Stereotyping:
This type of stereotyping comes from the first look at a person and doesn’t require any verbal communication.
Take this for example:
Black hair, black clothes, black make up, a person dressed like this walks past. Do you immediately think closer to either of the following?

a) I must get to know this person because they could be a grade A student.
b) Goth/Emo

If you choose a then you are one of very few, actually, you lied. Somewhere in our minds is a predisposition to judge people on first appearances. We are not all inclined to dislike a person on what they first appear like but we all have these first impressions somewhere linked in our mind. A person carrying a laptop wearing glasses and a white button up shirt, would likely be automatically placed as a Geek/Nerd; Suit and Tie, Tight Ass; Short skirt, small top, Slut; Long Dress, Long hair and flowers, Hippy. It is amazing we are able to decipher so much or a person from their looks. When actually, many people have black hair and wear black clothes and make up, they aren’t Goths or Emo’s but black is a sliming colour and black may be their natural hair colour also it might be a personal preference its not your place to judge. A laptop and a white shirt could signify a big important meeting that he had to get dressed up for. Short skirt and small top, if that’s what they want to wear, it doesn’t mean they act the way they dress. The list of clothing stereotypes could go on and on but you can guess the rest.

Observation Stereotyping:
This kind of Stereotyping is more the watching from afar. Many people do not class this as stereotyping but a kind of observation. An example of this kind of stereotyping is:
A mother and small child on a bus, mother yells at her child to sit down, child starts crying, mother yells at child to behave.
This will be seen by most as a cruel unaffectionate gesture by the mother. The people looking on at this will be thinking, that mother is cruel, poor child. So the stereotype is cruel, and neglected. But, if the child is between the ages of 4-6 it is not uncommon for the child to be going through an unruly stage where they will try and get attention by any means possible, usually as this is the times they are starting at school. This kind of attention seeking should be stopped by the parents before the child causes trouble for themselves or keeps it as a habit for themselves later in life. Other examples are:
Wife arguing with husband over phone about “where are you?”
Seem annoying and whinny. There could be a good reason for her to be worried about where her husband is.
School girls on bus talking about another person in an impolite manner, mainly gossip.
Seem bitchy, rude and mean. Truth be told everyone who has ever talked has told gossip and even if what you think your saying is nice the person you are talking about might not feel the same way. The person these girls are talking about is probably much better off not hearing what these girls are saying because that could cause a fight. This is a safer means of letting off steam.

Most of my random rants will be shorter, but i got bored. So yeah. I doubt u'll want to read me very often but i love myself so i will keep writing in the vain hopes that someone will read. Love you All!! PEACE OUT!!
