I did a song called Sonnet as my 19th upload to Youtube. This was the second track I had sung from the "Urban hymns" album. As you might see, I was still having issues with the video and audio sync, though I can confirm that it is my voice singing Most of the Verve songs are reasonably easy to sing because they don't cover a big vocal range. See what you think. The requests were coming in for more Neil Diamond, so the next one was one off those. So, until my next post |

The requests were piling up, so it was about time to remove one of the Neil Diamond songs by doing it. A number of the requests I had received had been for Neil Diamond numbers, and the one I selected to do was Beautiful noise. Up until this post, this song had had over 750 viewings. So here goes. My rendition of Beautiful Noise by Neil Diamond. I hope you enjoyed that if you listened to it. I have done more Neil Diamnd songs. All of them were requests, and will appear in later posts. |

I'm going straight to video 22 because video 21 was one of my how to sing vids, and I mentioned that in an earlier post. So on to my 22nd video. A song I wrote a while back. This one went down well, and has the thumbs up from quite a few people. There are a couple of other songs with the same title, but let me assure you. It's quite different. It's title is Twist of fate, and was completely written, produced and performed by yours truly. Have a look at it here: My path through songwriting has been quite experimental. The arrangement in this song is a bit odd, so it would have some significance to the meaning. The verses are in the first half of the song, and the chorus at the end. It's a powerful song. I hope you like it. You'll also notice that in my original song videos, I tended to use picture slideshows. Guess what's coming after this? Yep. It's another Neil Diamond song |

Back to the good old Neil Diamond songs. I was still working my way through my request list. There were a large number to do, and there were still Neil songs among them. The next one up, off the list was "Play Me". I have to admit that this is one of my favourites of his. I don't really know why. It just feels pretty good to sing. See for yourself: In an effort to reduce the Neil songs on the list, the next one is one of his too. Then it's time for another Original composition. Until then |

This is a song that was used in a fantastic film called "Pulp fiction". The group that did a cover of the song was called Urge Overkill. I think it was my first hearing of this song, and I was very surprised to discover that it was written and performed originally by Neil Diamond. A great film and a great song. Very enjoyable to sing. Here is my version. So on to video 25. Which is another Original song. |
