If I want it to go slow

This is number four out of five original songs on the bounce. It started life as an instrumental. Which was penned by a fantastic Swedish musician called "Ulf Pettersson". When I heard the instrumental I could imagine words being sung over the top of it. I told Ulf about this, and suggested that I try my ideas out. He was curious to see the results. Ulf liked a lot of the stuff I did on my own, and there's a twist on one of those coming soon. Staying in the present though. This one is titled "Swings and roundabouts". Being single has it's advantages. There are advantages to being hooked up too. Some of those don't mix, and this is the view of someone facing that dilemma in a relationship.

This is what we came up with.

Now some more about my Dad.

My Dad. Part 8.

I didn't realise when I met my father, that he was so much into alcohol. The clues were already there with his nickname of "Woodsy". I was never that curious, and at that time I was unaware that he earned the name for his liking for "Woods Navy Rum". Rum was his favourite tipple, though I think anything with a decent amount of alcohol in it would have done. So that's how I finally found him. Before the knowledge of his exploits. Criticism may be levelled at his actions in life, and I know that I would not repeat what he did. I felt a lot of it was wrong. but he was still my father. I will never deny that. Along with my mother. He is responsible for me being on this earth.

In the swinging sixties, drink was celebrated. Drugs were also on many menus. My dad chose drink over drugs as a preference. He did however try a few things out, and did take part in sessions of drug taking, mainly in an effort to be in with the crowd. He didn't go seriously into any types of drug, but he did like a bit of cannabis. There was a time when we were watching a movie where there was a pot smoking session in a private room. My father had a wry smile at that scene. He recounted the times when the rolling stones were doing exactly the same thing in his mothers bedroom. With the Rolling Stones. Somehow that story is believable happy.gif Apparently, a member of that band resides within a few miles from me.

I will say that my poor grandmother was blissfully unaware of all these goings on. Remember that she thought her son was a wonderful boy, full of integrity. The rest of the family knew what he was like, but she just wouldn't have it.

In the next post I reveal something my dad told me about a certain celeb. It was a tale that shocked me. Tom Jones fans look away. That's all I am going to say right now.

To be continued.......

It's Youtube time again.

975 subs. 25 to the magic 1,000.

My channel has been seen 22,848 times.

The sum total of my video views is 387,663.

Here's another interesting stat. To date there have been 5,952 comments on my videos (not including my replies).

The next song is the last in the chain of 5 originals, and it's another one with Ulf. I'm also going to tell you a little bit more about Ulf.
