No Movement.

The second in a series of original songs that fell short of the "Sight Or Sound" Album. This one is called "Movement". A friend of mine asked me to write a song that was environmental. I considered that so many people had written songs about that, so I decided to do it from the viewpoint of an animal. As they seem to sense things that we as humans don't.
So this is what I came up with.
Again, this one didn't make the cut for the album. There were other better quality songs that took precedence. I noted before that 10 songs from my album are on Youtube. I got lots of wonderful comments about my original songs that were uploaded to Youtube. Some of those comments now feature on my CDBaby purchase page. The small selection of comments are available to read at:
My Dad. Part 6.
Lulu wasn't the only celebrity my father had a dislike for. P.J.Proby also made it into his hall of infamy. Apparently my father knocked him out for making a move on his girlfriend. Tsk tsk. I bet that sort of thing happened regularly. Maybe my father didn't like his pretentious ways. Dad said that P.J. performed on stage with those tight drainpipes on, and he inserted a piece of hosepipe into his trousers to impress the ladies. I would imagine that any of those ladies that considered that sort of thing important, must have been met with disappointment. That old saying "The truth will out" is probably the most fitting term to use.
My dad also liked to do a bit of DIY. There was a time when his sister asked him to paint her bedroom. Not for free though. Everything seemed to work out well. After completion she had a quick look at the room and was happy with the results. That pleasure didn't last for long though. A few days after the room had been painted, she thought she'd shift the furniture around. It was then that she discovered that all he had done was painted around the furniture. Leaving large unpainted patches. I'm sure she must have had some choice words for him afterwards. He never told me those.
