As president of FKCC…

Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle brought millions of dollars of support to the institution through a multi-pronged institutional advanement plan that included fundraising, legislative advocacy, grant development, and parnerships.

Fundraising

Dr. Landesberg-Boyle raised over two million dollars in two years in her first presidency, including the college’s largest gift.

Dr. Landesberg-Boyle worked successfully with Director of the John E. Lockwood, Jr. School of Diving and Underwater Technology Bill Chalfant, Dr. Patrick Rice and Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen on the approval of FKCCS to share in $2,240,000 special appropriation for Instrumented Underwater Training Systems (IUTS). IUTS will provide an advance in water maritime security training programs for the Department of Defense. She credits the strong leadership of Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a senior member of the Florida Congressional Delegation, in the securing of this very important project funded in the Defense Appropriations Bill.

Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle

Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle was named President of Florida Key Community College in August of 2007. She is the College’s fourth president, and its first female president since the college was founded in 1965.

Previously, Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle was the Vice President of Student Affairs at Pennsylvania College of Technology where she created myriad new services for students, enhanced student scholarship funds and greatly increased auxiliary revenue. Dr. Landesberg-Boyle’s team developed a student retention program that was featured in National On-Campus Report. She has also served in student affairs for Southeastern Louisiana University, the University of Judaism, and the University of Massachusetts.

Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle received her undergraduate degree in Psychology, her Masters of Education and her Doctorate of Education in Organizational Development from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle has written articles on regulatory oversight, student suicide and student retention for a variety of student affairs publications and has been a featured speaker at national and regional conferences. She has held leadership roles on the Regional Advisory Board of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), and served twice as the State Director for Louisiana. She has repeatedly been chosen as a peer reviewer for the association’s national conference.

Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle has been active in a number of community based organizations including the Board of Directors and Executive Board of the regional YWCA (a national non-profit women’s advocacy group and as chair of the CASA Advisory Committee (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization dedicated to providing a voice for neglected and abused children. In 2006, she was honored as “Volunteer of the Year” for Northeast Central Pennsylvania and in 2007 was named “Woman Advocate of the Year” by the student body at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
