Breaking the Mold of Old Habits
Old habits are hard to break especially when they have molded to your lifestyle for the past 21 years. I am trying to become a better person all around. I cleaned my apartment almost totally yesterday. Lyndsey's bathroom has yet to be cleaned and Lyndsey cleaned out the office for me. Tonight I plan on vacuuming the office and cleaning her bathroom. I will also clean my bathroom (just spray and scrub) to up-hold its cleanliness. After wards I will put away the dishes in the dishwasher, load the dishwasher with what is left than start to cook Beef Taco & Cheese Pockets. Hopefully the recipe taste's excellent because it looks delicious.
I am going to try and go for a jog before I start dinner and after I have cleaned. I want to keep up with running or biking on a regular basis and I missed yesterday's ride/jog. Hopefully Lyndsey would like to go with me on my jog around the lake. If I go around the whole lake I would expect the jog to take at least 30-45 minutes. I am not much for running but I know how important running is and how it can affect my body in a very positive way. Slowly but surely I am working my way to getting up at 6:00am and running every morning. Once I am able to get up every morning and run I will start my workout at 6:00am once again. I have a great feeling about how I am going about baby stepping into a healthier lifestyle. I had a banana for breakfast today, and a pizza pocket (not healthy but I had to get rid of it somehow) for my mid-day snack. I have tuna fish and crackers for my mid-afternoon snack and probably a burrito for lunch unless the guys in the office decide to go out, in which case I will attempt to get something somewhat healthy.
Baby stepping your way into a healthier lifestyle seems to be working great for me. I missed my shower yesterday, which I will take one tonight before I head to bed. Now I just need to start brushing my teeth every night before I head to bed and I will be ahead of the ball game with starting a healthier lifestyle. I am a firm believer that the way you live reflects your attitude and your health. Keep trudging forward, eventually I will be where I want to be at.
