Mother's Day Present

Last night while I was at the mall paying off some tuxedos for my groomsmen I decided to do something extremely nice for my mom for mother's day. Due to the fact I did not get her a birthday present or card, I decided to get her a bracelet. Now I hate going into jewelry shops because of previous experiences with salesman. Hesitant I took it like a man and headed into Samuel's Jewelry and what came next completely shocked me.

After looking around for a minute or two a salesman came up to me and I said, "Hi how can I help you?" I was not going to beat around the bush I told him up front, "I need a bracelet from $0 to $100 not to exceed $100." To my surprise he said, "So we are working with a budget, here is our catalog do you have a preference in the color?" I was blown off my feet! He did not tell me that was impossible to do! Well now I am thinking he is going to show me all these fancy bracelets that are way over my price range, "She likes gold and is in her 50's." Great, I will be right back he tells me. A minute later he comes back with this pretty gold bracelet that is $75. I told him that it was perfect. No need to look any further and he did not. We went to the register and rung up the bracelet, he asked me about the protection plan and I told him that I was not interested but thanks for offering. Again to my surprise he did not even push the warranty onto me.

Five minutes later I was walking out the store with a pretty bracelet for my mom for Mother's day. Now I have never gotten my mom anything like this on my own. I figured since I missed her birthday I would combine the two and buy her something nice. The next step is a card. I bought two cards one funny card for her birthday and one serious card for mother's day. If you know me I have never given out a serious card to anyone. If the bracelet does not make her cry, this is guaranteed to make my mom cry because she has never received a card from me like this ever. Needless to say I know my mom will be happy, the only downside is she has to wait till Monday or Tuesday to get her present as I tend to procrastinate. Oh well, at least she will get it. I will still call her on Mother's day and lead her to believe that I did not get her anything/forgot about Mother's day. I love making her upset like that than when she gets her present it will be 10 times more meaningful.

Anyhow do something special for your mom this Mother's day, especially if you forgot her birthday present and card. You will not regret it and I guarantee your mom will love it.
