Christmas Eve 2006 Gifts

Lyndsey's family has a tradition of spending Chistmas eve day with her Grandma and Grandpa and her Aunt and Uncle's family. We went over there around 11:00am. At which time we waited for everyone else to get there. Once everyone was there we got our list for what to order from Garamonies (an Italian place) and placed the order. After which we opened presents.

Lyndsey's Grandma and Grandpa gave me a brand new pair of Timberland hiking boots, which I love. Next her brother gave me a new Knife and hunting hat, which I also love. After that her Great Grandma gave me a nice pair of Deer Leather gloves and $30! After that her Uncle and Aunt gave us $45 to Lowes and a Measuring tape! Needless to say we were very spoiled with tons of money for fixing our new house. Finally her Grandma and Grandpa had tin pales which the super glued shut and put $50 + change in the containers. The trick was they were hard to open and made alot of noise. That was interesting and fun trying to get the lids off of those tin cans.

After all that was said and done our food was ready to eat. We ate a ton of food and than watched the Broncos beat the Bengals 23-24. That was a very good and intense game. Once the Broncos won we went upstairs and played "Battle of the Sexes," which was a great game but flawed. The game there is a line you cannot cross unless you get a missed turn. That was the major flaw of Battle of the Sexes. They needed a card that said something like "If you answer the next question right you may progress one." Either way it was fun for the first 30-45minutes after that everyone gave up because it was literally impossible to play a game that long that would probably keep going on for another 2 hours.

Once the game was over we all said our good-byes and went on our merry way. But I had a great day!

Christmas Gifts I Received

I had a wonderful Christmas this year despite the fact of getting a cold. The cold part is not fun as I am still battling it. At anyrate here is how my frist Christmas went with my wife Lyndsey and her family.

Christmas morning we got up around 10:30am and went over to Lyndsey's dads house around 11:15am. We opened presents and found that her dad gave us a gift card to Home Depot and gave me a 256mb Jump Drive from Heidelberg, Germany. After we opened presents we had Chirstmas ham, mashed potatoes and green beans for lunch. The ham was very good. Once we were done eating and everyone was stuffed we watched the movie Invincible, with Mark Wahlberg. The movie was pretty good. Once the movie was over we went over to my sisters house.

At my sisters house (around 2:30pm) we gave my sister and her husband their present along with my neice and nephew. They enjoyed the homemade presents and were excited. My sister and her husband gave us a homedepot card, which goes right along with our other 4 home depots cards. After that Leif and I made a trash run and a battery run. Once we got back Lyndsey and I again said our good-byes as we had to go to her mom's house next.

At Lyndsey's moms house we say and watched A Christmas Story until Lyndsey's mom and brother got home, at that time we opened our presents from her mom and brother and from each other. From Lyndsey's mom I got a drawer organizer, a Porter Cable drill, and Black and Decker drill bits. From Lyndsey's brother he gave Lyndsey and I a new Door Knocker with "Worthen" engraved into it, a great gift.

Now it was my time to open Lyndsey's present to me. I was kinda sad that I was sick because I do not think I expressed how excited I was enough. But she got me a brand new Charbroil grill!!!!!!!!!!!!! It does not require those crazy lava rocks and is very awesome!! I cannot wait till we are in our new house fulltime and I can grill! Along with the grill she got me the grill tools! I love my new grill!

After all that was said and done I was soo tired. Dinner was next and we had a great dinner made by her mom. It was steaks and Crab legs. I love crab and I was stuffed! Needless to say, despite the fact of me being sick I had a wonderful Chistmas thanks to my new and old family.

Sad Day Today

Very Sad Day Today

The Broncos lost in a very close game 20 to 23 vs the SeaHawks. The good news is the Rookie quater back Jake Cutler did not look to bad in tonights game given that this was his first NFL snap. A very promising quarter back who may not do much for the Broncos season this year but will in the future.

After throwing 2 interceptions and fumbling once, he threw a 71 yard touchdown with 3 minutes left to tie the game at 20 to 20 and in the last 10 seconds Brown from the Seahawks kicked a 51 yard field goal for the win.

Very sad day, especially since Al Wilson had to be take to the hospital.

He Asked Many Questions

No point to the title. At anyrate tonight I am going to get a haircut as it is very long overdue. After I get my haircut I have to take a shower (I hate the itchy hair). After I shower I plan on helping my wife clean up the apartment as tommorow at 1:00pm we have her father and brother coming over for thanksgiving lunch.

That should be somewhat fun, I think I will take my X-Box from the office and put it into the family room and see if her brother wants to play Madden 2006 on my X-Box =) I have not had anyone to play my new game with me, so hopefully that works out good. After lunch I am not sure what is happening. I guess just hanging out till they leave and than I am not sure if Lyndsey has anything planned or not. I know that I do not have anything planned....yet.

Anyhow on Thursday we are heading over to Lyndsey's mom's house to have thanks giving dinner. She is cooking a 16lb turkey for 4 people, kinda crazy. Oh well looks like I will be having turkey sandwhichs for lunch for a long time. At least turkey is great as a leftover. Pratically my favorite part of Turkey day.

I want to play some football but I do not know anyone who is going to be playing, kinda sucks and depressing but oh well. I guess another year without playing football for Jim.

After that I am not sure when we are heading home. On Friday Lyndsey and I are going to start on our top secert christmas presents which I cannot talk about here as too many people know this account who may be watching!

Saturday I am not sure what is going to happen other than Lyndsey has a ride-along which means I may try and find something to do that night. Sunday will be a laxed day before going back to work on Monday and closing on the house on Tuesday! Woohooo!

Anyhow that is a brief overview of my week.

Happy Turkey Day pEePs!
