Television Programming Worsens
Television Programming Worsens
I dislike Television very much. I have very good reasons why I do not like Television that will be explored throughout this entry. Let's start off with the Television programming. I really do not want to watch a show where they break for a 5 minute commercial every 7 minutes. Commercials are getting longer which is becoming ridiculous. Honestly I have not sat down and watched a whole Television show for about a year now. I will start to watch a show but once those first commercials hit and minute 4 roles around I get pissed off and turn off the Television. Honestly I do not need Television filling my head with subliminal messages and what I need to buy to be cool. Since I have stopped watching Television I think fast food is the worst food in the world. I have not had McDonald's in about 3 months now. If I do eat from a place like Burger King I get a Jr. Size burger with small - medium fries.
How do I stay informed of events on the world? Well since I do not watch Television I do not watch the news, so how do I stay informed? To start a newspaper contains many stories. I can read and reading stimulates your brain a lot more than hearing a story. Although the newspaper is handy I hardly read the newspaper. I dislike the news very much. I hate how they twist any little thing to go their own way. How do I know the story is real and not just fabricated? I have learned with my job that what people post in the news is always dramatically taken out of proportion. I have not watched the news or read a newspaper in about 6 months. I am a little behind on current events, but really what do they matter? If a news story was one that would affect me I would hear about it from someone. I have yet to come across a news story over the past 6 months that would affect me that I was not informed about. The old saying still goes, "Do not believe everything you see." I feel movies prove that point to a T.
On a Friday night I know one place you will not find me, in fact any night of the week you will never find me glued to the television set. I will be out and about or working on my computer. Television has lost all meaning. Sad.
Thanks for Reading,
