Why Messianic Halakha is needed part 7 By Rabbi Aminadav Ben Avraham Hinton ____________________ Dvar Tefilot-Words about prayers Script: Dvarim 12.1-31/ Dvarim 13. 1-18/ Micah or Michoh 5.2-15/ Yeshayah 5.2-15/ Yeshayah 65.1-25 Mitzvot is Law/Torah & Halakha is Teaching, Application, Halakha comes from the Hebrew word to mean- To walk, This way, This path, It is a term for rules and rulings that govern Jewish life. In this lesson we will cover of the 25 Messianic Halakha listings we will cover the Halakha importance of Amidah so then we have covered thus far 1. Overview 2. Milah 3. Mikvah 4. Tefillah 5. Sh'ma 6. Tefillin and the 7th Amidah for today- Looking at Dvarim(Deuteronomy) chapter 12. 1-9 These are the chukkim( Laws) and mishpatim (Rules) over which ye shall be shomer to do in ha'aretz; which Hashem Elohei Avoitecha giveth thee to possess it, kol hayamim that ye live upon ha'adamah 2. You shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the Goyim which you shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree. OK it is interesting that Yah clearly spoke of his promises he would give to Bnai Yisrael if they would obey his Torah, his regulations and guard them in there hearts or conceal them in there being and they would posses the promise but when you go among these nations don't pick up there idolatry- We continue to see in scriptures about these groves, trees, bushes -do you no why? Because these pagans used the trees as apart of there sacrificial offerings to there gods- Jeremiah 10 is a huge chapter on that ordeal such as it states not to be apart of these pagans Christmas(Christ- Mass) observances- well the history reveals the pagans used the groves or nature itself as an ordeal of worship and veneration not to mention, there were certain trees they worshiped as gods and other trees they would sacrifice and hang there babies on and murder them to honor those gods, so YHVH warns them to stay away from the trees, the groves, the bushes- because the trees were stained with the blood of innocent babies and stained with animals blood as object of there sacrificial worship to these gods. Vs 3. And ye shall overthrow their mizbechot,(Altars) and break their matzeivot( Pillars) and burn their Asherim(Sacred Poles-note these poles like the Indian totem poles have the faces of there gods on them) with eish and you shall hew down peselim of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 4. You shall not do so unto Hashem Eloheichem 5.But unto the place which Hashem eloheichem shall choose out of all your shevatim to put Shmo there(His name there) even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither shalt come 6. And thither ye shall bring your olot, and your zevahhim and your ma'aseros (tithes) and terumot (heave offerings) of your hand and your nedarim (vows) and your nedavot (free will offerings) and the bekhorot (firslings) of your herds and of your flocks 7. And there ye shall eat before Hashem Eloheichem and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein Hashem Eloheicha hath blessed thee. 8.Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here today. Ish kokmhayashar be'einav (every man what soever is right in his own eyes) 9.For ye are not as yet come to the menuchah (resting place) and to the nachalah giveth you. Let's began our lesson for today: The Amidah- Tefilat Ha'Amidah- The standing prayer is also called the shmona esrei -the eighteen blessings- Amida means standing, it is said while standing, the prayer is about 2400 years old, it is considered one of the most important prayers on account of it's antiquity. This prayer contain 1. Praise-barak 2.Confession-yadah 3. Petition-bauw 4.Thanks or Gratitude-towdah,yadah,charis personalizing the Amida is critical in importance, the sages of old wrestled with the problem of Keva( Fixedness in worship) The Mishnah says- Do not make the Amidah a keva (Appointed Routine) The Amidah blesses YHVH for his place in Judaism, The Amidah is the central prayer of all four services. 1.Shacharit( Mourning Prayers) 2. Mincha (Afternoon) 3. Maariv (Evening Prayer) 4. Mussaf (Additional on Shabbat) The Amidah should be prayed three times a day, which was established by Ezra and codified in the Talmud (Bereakhot 26. b) is fulfilled by reciting Amidah. Every Jew recited the same Amidah, yet everyone needs different things from YHVH, So we do recite the Amidah for various reasons some for health, wealth, freedom, peace, the various areas of ones personal needs through there daven tefillah according to ones own personal prayer, not to mention: When you daven ha'tefillah we can recite the prayers and that's good but i like to mention it is still ok to have your own prayers to YHVH, which aren't already prescribed- I recommend reciting the prayers and thereafter going before YHVH with your own individual or corporate or interceding prayers for the needs of your family and loved ones to come into the knowledge of Yeshua or the tefillah which comes in your heart, Like i teach give room for The Ruach Hokodesh- we can be so stringent in our traditions that the Holy Spirit doesn't have room to do something different- perhaps YHVH wants to give you new prayers and new songs(Always give room for the holy spirit to come through) Please note The Shabbat Amidah is different, This Ha'Tefillah or prayer of Judaism is recited while standing and facing the Aron Kodesh ( The ark that houses the Torah scroll) next to the Sh'ma the Amidah is the most widely recited Hebrew in the world. Shemoneh Esrei literally means eighteen, originally the eighteen blessings were divided into three general types and they still should be 1.Praise- Three Blessings- Avot- Gevurot- Kedushat Hashem 2.Petitions(Which includes confession)- Thirteen Blessings Da'at, Teshuvah, Selichah, Ge'ulah, Refu'ah, Birkat Hashanim,Kibbutz Galuyot, Birkat HaDin Birkat HaMinim, Tsaddikim, Binyah Yerushalayim, Malkhut Bet Dovid & Kabbalat Tefillah. 3.Thanks-Three Blessings -Avodah- Hoda'ah- Sim Shalom { We will cover these in greater details soon} Notice that this adds up to nineteen ,not eighteen. The reason for this was that an additional blessings was later added, but the name Shemoneh Esrei was retained. For this reason it is more straightforward to refer to the shemoneh esrei as the Amidah(Standing-Amad) or the Tefillah(The prayers) after reciting all of these berachot, there is a concluding prayer said for the entire ceremony, There are two versions basically of Amidah The week day version- which includes all 19 blessings of praise, petition, thanksgiving to Hashem 2. The Shabbat and Holiday version which are abbreviated to just seven blessings . Most Jews when reciting the Amidah after facing toward the Aron Kodesh take three steps backward and then three steps forward before quietly reciting Amidah. Whenever there is a Minyah (group of ten) present, the Amidah can be repeated aloud (By the cantor) in the synagogue and the congregation responds only Amen after each blessing has been recited. The blessings are categorized in three sections Part 1. blessings of praise 1.Blessing one- Avot(Fathers) 2.Blessing two- Gevurot(Hashems might) 3.Blessing three-Kedushat Hashem( Holiness of YHVH'S name) Part 2. blessing of petition 1.Blessing four-Da'at(Knowledge) 2.Blessing five- Teshuvah(Repentance) 3.Blessing six -Selichah(Forgiveness) 4. Blessing seven- Geulah(Redemption) 5.Blessing eight- Refuah(Healing) 6.Blessing nine- Birkat Hashanim (Prosperity) 7.Blessing ten-Kibbutz Galuyot (Ingathering of Exiles) 8.Blessing eleven- Birkat HaDin(Restoration of Justice) 9.Blessing twelve- Birkat HaMinim (Against Heretics ) My Rabbi said these Jews who do this prayer do it against us Messianic- calling us heretics, However in my opinion the prayer should be against those who are false prophets calling people to make men into Moshiachs) 10. Blessing thirteen- Tsaddikim( Righteous ones) 11. Blessing fourteen-Binyan Yerushalayim ( Rebuilding of Jerusalem) 12. Blessing fifteen-Malkhut Beit David ( Kingdom of David) 13. Blessing Sixteen- Kabbalat Tefillah (Acceptance of prayer) Part 3. Blessings of Thanks or Gratitude 14. Blessing seventeen- Avodah (Worship) 15. Blessing eighteen- Hoda'ah (Gratitudes) 16. Blessing nineteen- Sim Shalom (Grant Peace) ______________________________________ The Shemoneh Esreh is the name by which the Ashkenazim refer to this prayer, The Sefaradim call it Amidah- Yeshua taught his talmidim the tefillah titled as T'filat HaTalmidim which apparently is an abbreviated version of Amidah, however it would have been well known to Yeshua as it was known to the Jews some two hundred years before Yeshua. A Rabbi Eliezer- taught this same abbreviation that Yeshua taught stating: May your will be done in Heaven above, grant peace of mind to those who fear you on earth below and do what seems best to you, Blessed are , O Lord. Who answers prayer “note the phrases” Your will be done in heaven above and on earth below as in the lord's prayer which is really called: T'filat Ha'Talmidim- Also note the parallel between grant peace of mind in the prayer Eliezer taught and deliver us from evil in the prayer yeshua taught, You would be surprised to know that many Jews who aren't Messianic outwardly know the teachings of Yeshua and many have secretly read the Brit Chadasha and have accepted him in there hearts but no one knows it and they live the orthodox life, but in the chambers of there own homes they acknowledge Yeshua Ben Yosef as Yeshua Ben YHVH as Yeshua Ha'Mashiach- conclusively as the only Mashiach, There has been accounts of Jews who accepted Yeshua and know one knew about it until they died, so let us not underestimate the Jews who say they don't follow him who secretly do- especially in Israel, who are afraid of being unaccepted or ridiculed or even disowned- Sha'lu Shalom Yerushalayim especially for our Secret Society of Messianic Jews. The Amidah is recited by the Jew more than one thousand times a year, does a good praying Jew always receive guaranteed positive response to there prayers? Absolutely not! The story is told of the unsuccessful merchant who after repeated prayers, approached Rabbi Elimelech and demanded to know why Hashem did not and does not answer his prayers. The Rabbi replied! Hashem has answered your prayer. The answer is NO we framework in our minds how Hashem is going to answer our prayers, instead of giving him room to teach us we make his mind up for him and when he doesn't respond to our condition then he isn't answering our prayers, we all do it!! he wont have an answer opposite of his word. His answer doesn't reflect flesh, it reflects faith and his permissive will, I like that little story so much because it causes us to look at our selves and make sure we fit the requirements of Tefillah and those requirements you can find in lesson 4. we covered that before, basically you have to acknowledge his will over yours, you have to make certain that you are clean before him and that you are coming before him correctly in reverence and holiness. There is a legal code which in our Judicial system uses Amidah believe it or not ! Amidah again means to stand, or standing and in our judicial system the word standing means law, In the common law and under many statues standing or Locus Standi(Latin) is the ability of a party to demonstrate to the court sufficient connection to and harm from the law or action challenged to support that party's participation in that case. In the united states for an example. A person cannot bring a suit challenging the constitutionality of a law unless the plaintiff can demonstrate that the plaintiff is or will imminently be harmed by the law. Otherwise the court will rule that the plaintiff lacks standing to bring the suit, and will dismiss the case without considering the merits of the claim of unconstitutionality. Interesting enough is that the laws of the world's system and i mean the whole world was created by YHVH for a small group he called Bnai Yisrael of the Jew and these Judaic system laws or Torah of Mitzvah which in this case is Amidah can be seen in these laws of the land, but how they react and legislate these laws has left it's place in Torah. For liberalism and humanistic rights. ______________________________________ I would like to mention if your new to our E-Training program and these series, I want to remind you that you can catch up anytime by going to www.aeonity.com/kingdom and if you would like these bright and colorful issues simply email me and i can get them right out to you, further more if you are enjoying the word of YHVH from us or others that present this same Besorah of Yeshua I would like to implore you to find a great Messianic Congregation in your area, our website has a good listing in our directory at Http://sites.kindweb.com/mcmcongregation page 4. and Rabbi Rick Chaimberlin has a great directory listing also at www.petahtikvah.com plus a Google search would find you the results your looking for , many blessings in the name of Ha'Roeh Ha'Tov Yeshua Ha'Mashiach © Copyright 2009 Mind Changing Ministries Beit Yeshua All rights reserved. |

Why Messianic Halakha is needed Part 8. By Rabbi Aminadav Ben Avraham Hinton 3-21-09 Theme: Yeshua Aveinu ______________________________________ Script: Zechariah 12.1-14/ Zechariah 13.1-9/ Luke 1.26-79/ John 8.1-59/ James 2. 1-26/ Romans 2.1-29/ ______________________________________ Zechariah 12. 8-14( MCM Translation) When that day comes, YHVH will defend those living in Yerushalayim. On that day, even someone who stumbles will be like Dovid and the house of Dovid will be like YHVH, like the angel(malak) of YHVH before them. VS 9. “when that prophecy reveals itself, I will seek to destroy all nations attacking Yerushalayim; VS 10.and i will pour out on the bayit of Dovid and on those living in Yerushalayim A ruach of grace and power and they will look to me(Yeshua Ben YHVH) whom they pierced. “ They will mourn for him(The Prophecied Yeshua) as one mourns for an only son( Only Begotten Son) ( Prophecy of Yeshua's Death& Resurrection) they will be in bitterness on his behalf like the bitterness for a firstborn son(Yeshua) Vs 11. When that day comes, there will be great mourning like that for Hadad- Rimmon in the Megiddo valley(Armageddon at the last conflict) Vs 12. Then the land will mourn, each family by itself, the family of the bayit of Dovid by itself and their wives by themselves. The family of the house of Natan(Nathan) by itself and their wives by themselves Vs 13.The family of the house of Levi by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shim'i(Shimei), and their wives apart by themselves Vs 14.All the remaining families, each by itself and their wives by themselves The Kingdomship of Jerusalem rest in the hands of Yeshua and his final sacrifice, of course people seem to have there own interpretation of the scripture or excluding Yeshua out of the picture completely, I know no other whom they pierced, that is mourned for as a son, it is clearly a messianic picture of Yeshua to come and his sacrifice and him coming through the linage of David to restore Israel to himself as the only Moshiach and it centers the Torah story around the Brit Chadasha apparently, I think it will help us uncover our lesson for the day in reference to Halakha and what's important about observing Halakha- Yeshua observed Halakha further more he taught these same precepts with a Messianic revisions. Messianic Halakha comes from the Hebrew word to mean: To walk, it is a term for rules and rulings that govern jewish life. In this lesson we will cover of the 25- Messianic Halakha listings, we will cover the Halakha importance of Aveinu which is also spelled Avinu- which means in Hebrew = Our Father as in Aveinu Avraham, Avraham our father, Yeshua begin his Tefillah in Matthew 6.9 with the opening words Avinu Shebashamayim -Our father who is in heaven, not our father in Ha'eretz. So then i believe personally Yeshua made revisions to the ancient davenings that seemed to worship men and Yeshua took the focus off of Avos and on Abba, so then we account Avinu but the focus is on Yah, so then Yeshua says and we will cover this more in a moment, Avinu Shebashamayim. Our father who is in heaven, recognition immediately went to the father and Yeshua himself took no glory for himself or to himself, but to the father only and the father glorified the son. Avinus purpose is to honor YHVH, not Avraham, to honor Yeshua Ha'Mashiach not mortal men as many Rabbis assume, Avinu fulfills mitzvot by serving to obey Yah: Avinu Malkeinu -our father, not fathers - but our father, our king, We gain the two first words Alef, Vet- the word Av of Avinu it's first two words means Father, This lesson will point us to Avinu YHVH, Avinu Yeshua and not to any Aveinu Eliyl Adam which means Father Idol man, I will show you a reference momentarily how the rabbis use Aveinu to not only exonerate Moshe, Avraham, but also the dead!!! past Rabbis- whom they lift up past and above Yeshua. The Amidah points us to Moshiach Ben Yosef Shel Netzaret , when his Talmidim asked him to teach them how to pray, they wanted to know what was Yeshua's prayer at the conclusion of Amidah, Shimonei Esrei (18 Benediction) The prayer Avinu Malkeinu (Our Father, Our King) is recited after the Amidah (The main prayer, said while standing ) and before the Torah service, It is recited throughout the ten days of Teshuvah from Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur as well as on fast days, so then Avinu Malkeinu is recited during- Shacharit(morning prayers) Mincha(noon prayers) Maariv (evening prayers) and Ne'ila except when Yom Kippur falls on Shabbat, Ne'ila is the concluding service which is held only on Yom Kippur, which is a time when final prayers of Teshuvah are recited at the close of Yom Kippur, Ne'ila consist of Ashrei (which is postponed from Mincha when it is normally recited) Amidah, Selichot and Avinu Malkeinu, The Shofar is blown at the end of Ne'ila. This Avinu Malkeinu is also called U'vini Mal'kieni: So then we are literally literally saying much more than just our father, our king- we are saying our father, our king- open the gates, the entrance of heaven to our prayers. Avinu Malkeinu is inside the T'filat Ha'Talmidim but within itself the avinu malkeinu which is said as a song in Jerusalem, the lyrics are: Avinu Malkenu, Sh'ma Kolenu Avinu Malkenu, Chatanu L'faneicha Avinu Malkenu, Chamol Aleinu V'al Olaleinu V'tapenu Avinu Malkenu, Kalehdever V'Cherev V'raav Mealeynu Avinu Malkenu, Kaleh Chal Tzar Umas'tin Mealeinu Avinu Malkenu, Avinu Malkenu, Kat' venu B'sefer Chayim Tovim Avinu Malkenu, Chadesh Aleinu, Chadesh Aleinu, Shauah Tovah Sh'ma Kolenu, Sh'ma Kolenu, Sh'ma Kolenu: Avinu Avinu Malkenu, Avinu Malkenu, Chadesh Alienu, Shanah Tova Avinu Malkenu, Sh'ma Kolenu, Sh'ma Kolenu, Sh'ma Kolenu, Sh'ma Kolenu which means: Our father, Our King! Hear our voice. Our father, Our King! We have sinned before you. Our Father, Our King! Have compassion for us and for our children and our infants. Our Father, Our King! Of pestilence, and sword, and famine rid us. Our Father, Our King! Inscribe us in the book of good life. Our Father, Our King! Anew for us, Anew for us a good year. Hear our voice, Hear our voice, Hear our voice Our Father, Our King! Our Father, Our King: Anew for us as good year Our Father, Our King! Hear our voice, Hear our voice, Hear our voice: { If you find the music arrangement let me know, I could not find it} See how the words express Tefillah, Teshuvah& Davening! Avraham Avinu- Emulating the Avos(sages) ~ Yes or No ~ The Chazel-Which is an acronym for the Hebrew word being and meaning: Cha'Chameninu Zichronam Livracha- literally “our sages of blessed memory” Chazel teaches “ one is obligated to say' when will my deeds( daber,ma'aseh-word, matter, action, labor) reach the deeds of my forefathers- Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'akov! We are obligated to strive for greatness and not be complacent(Sounds good huh!not good enough) in this endeavor. Therefore we aspire to emulate the superlative examples set forth by the Avos(Says the Rabbis) at least that's the basis of Aveinu according to the Rabbis, to emulate the Avos, the Avos is not just honoring Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'akov it is also emulating prior Rabbis, some do so to the point of wearing a Tefillin in front of there prior Rabbi's picture(Idol Worship) honor and worship do not mean the same thing, understand please! To honor prior rabbis and deny Yeshua is just plain stupid, Yeshua came before the forefathers of Judaism, in fact himself and YHVH are the forefathers of Judaism, If Yah did not go to Avraham, then Avraham would have stayed among the Idol worshippers, Who brought us the Torah 1. Moshe 2. YHVH? [ I'm waiting for your answer] One might ask, why don't we try to model ourselves after the great leaders of our times or of the past generation? For example The Chafetz Chaim? The answer given is that it is not enough to try to emulate great people, our yearning should be to reach the level of the greatest of the great. That is for us to emulate Yeshua Your Rabbis lift up Rishonim- like Rashi, Tanaim, Amara'im and such explanations of past rabbis such as Rabbi Judah Ben Solomon Al-Harizi, Rabbi David Kimchi-Radak,Rabbi Judah HaChassid, Rambam( Maimonides) Rabbi Abraham Ben David Etc. but wore these great men even greater than Moshe, Torah says: There will never be another prophet like Moshe(or to reach Moshe's stature) Moshe was the greatest Navi there ever was- is that true? I think not and i think yes, let me explain, that was based on Exodus 34.10 but in Ibrim- Hebrews 3.1-6 states in verse 2. through 6. 2.He(Moshe) was faithful to YHVH, who appointed him, just as Moshe was faithful in all YHVH'S Bayit(House) 3. But Yeshua deserves more honor than Moshe. Just as the builder of the house deserves more honour than the house. 4.For every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is YHVH. 5.Also, Moshe was faithful in all YHVH'S house, as a servant giving witness to hings's YHVH would divulge later. 6.But the Moshiach, as Ben(Son) was faithful over YHVH'S house. And we are that house of his(Yeshua) provided we hold firmly to the courage and confidence inspired by what we hope for. ______________________________________ So then in Dvarim 34 - to- Hebrew 3.- Moshe was the greatest prophet up to Yeshua, till Yeshua came! No man has ever become over Yeshua nor equal to him, He is the only Moshiach. So then Moshe until Yeshua became the source of Avot, since Yeshua has come, man obeys Torah, Tanakh and Brit Chadasha through obedience to YHVH through Yeshua, but Yeshua is he who we emulate. We are not discrediting moshe as a great servant under Yeshua, of the thirteen principals of faith by Rambam, Moshe is called: The Servant of Hashem, Moshe was greater than all prior Avos till Yeshua- But he was also more advances in character development over all the Rabbis of his day, according to tradition Avraham surpassed the most of the trait of Anava- humility. The Gemara states that while Avraham regarded himself as “Afar V'eifer” dirt and ashes, but Moshe and Aharon said “V'nachnu ma” what are we? Even thou Avraham was extremely humble, nevertheless he considered himself to be dirt and ashes - which is still tangible, Moshe and Aharon went even further, they did not consider themselves to be anything at all, The Torah testifies to the fact by exclamating “ And the man Moshe was very humble, more than any man on the face of the earth. Why then are we not obligated to use Moshe Rabbeinu as our sole role model? This same Rabbinical Theological Talmudic thought can be seen in the story of Yeshua's teaching where we find in the Brit Chadasha in Matthew 18.1 about this concept of Avos, of honoring men, or the variance of Idolizing men to the decree of making them into humanistic gods- Yeshua responds with this whole whose the greatest situation by stating- The greatest is a Na'ar (Servant) who comes as a Yeladim (Child, Little Children) the Talmidim was obviously looking for glory for themselves like the many Rabbis of today, But one more example of Yeshua showing that not only should he be honored above Moshe, but also over Avraham- Yochanan(John) chapter 8. verse 58 which states: Yeshua said to them, yes indeed! Before Avraham came into being, I(Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh- same as in Exodus 3.14 Yud, Heh, Vav, Heh- Yeshua is saying this very phrase by stating himself in YHVH as Ben Yachid. Yeshua says I AM the same Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh reference, did you no that? Which now expresses that Echad- plurality of himself and his abba being echad(One) and he stands in the stead of Abba, and Abba reveals Yeshua. ______________________________________ We pray this Halakha 8. has been influential in some way or another to you, We are working to complete this series and provide other on working series like this on the factum of Torah and helping us to understand Torah better, as best as humanly possible, We hope you take the time to really study these verses and content of these Halakha studies we provide to you every week and to really develop your study life and study habits, We further hope you will after you have studied them would consider sharing them with persons close to your heart, and persons who want to study the Judaic scriptures and thoughts and intent to better incorporate within the Ahavah Torah- Ahavah YHVH- Ahavah Yeshua, I do not hold the answers, i hold some keys, I do not know the whole mind of Yah, but i do no what he allows to be revealed. Why Messianic Halakha is needed part 9. By Rabbi Aminadav Ben Avraham Hinton 03/28/09- Sundown { Theme: Moedim Ha'Elohim } “The end of this lesson will include Parashah Vayikra ” ______________________________________ Scripture: B'resheet 1.1-19/ B'resheet 18.1-19(connects with B'resheet 21.) Vayikra 16.1-34/ Vayikra 23.1-44/ Tehillim 104.19-35 _____________________________________ The mention of the feast happened well before any Jew was ever in place, did you know the feast (Moedim) are apart of the celestial creative process. B'reshhet 1. verse 14 states: YHVH said, Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to divide the day from the night; let them be for signs(rsham-record)seasons(zman-appointed times)days(hemera-periods of time)and years(yowm-day,time,periods) Also we see in Tehillim 104. verse 19-24 it states: You(YHVH) made the moon to mark the seasons. And the sun knows when to set. You bring darkness and it is night, the time when all forest animals prowl. The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from YHVH. The sun rises, they slink away and lie down to rest in their dens; while people go out to their work laboring on till evening. What variety(assortment, kind)there is in your works, YHVH(Says Dovid) How many of them there are! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your “creations” We see in B'resheet chapter 1. It states, In the beginning YHVH created the heaven and the earth. The earth was unformed and void. Which backs up Tehillim 104, There has been more than one creation, for the earth was already a created space and fermentation but nothing was in it, I don't know how long the first creation or several creations wore in place before YHVH decided to fill this Exnihilio(Greek meaning -out of nothing, something was created) with life, but water was already in place also, verse 2 states The earth was unformed and void, darkness was on the face of the deep, and the spirit of YHVH hovered over the surface of water. This water was in place before the seas, which means then logically at some creation, creative point YHVH created water in a pre-existent plan for a earth to come and all the events prove that, so what makes one disbelieve that creation was another creation when we read it in Genesis1.If you keep reading the scripture it talks about how YHVH filled this prior created form with water in it's dome. And then granted seed and so forth. This was not the first creation ill regardless of our limited minds. And the elements that filled this form filled it to set in creation- moedim( Appointed Feast, Times) So then the planets wore created to point to moedim, the sun and the moon were not created to be an object of worship, they wore created to be the Judaic spiritual calender pointing to moedim, let us dig in this concept which Leviticus 23 declares so well. ______________________________________ Messianic Halakha comes from the Hebrew word to mean, to walk. It is a term for rules and rulings that govern Jewish life. In this lesson we will cover of the messianic halakha listings we will cover the halakha importance of Moedim The Moedim Ha'Elohim (YHVH'S Appointed days) We have covered 1. Overview 2. Milah 3. Mikvah 4. Tefillah 5. Sh'ma 6. Tefillin 7. Amidah 8. Avinu and the ninth apparently is MOEDIM, Moedim describes my appointed times, meaning they belong to YHVH not to us Jews. They are not Jewish feast- they are YHVH'S feast, The festivals which YHVH revealed in Torah are connected in creation itself, they wore established like B'reshith 2. when YHVH rested after six days of creation he rested, thus instituting Shabbat out of creation or the creative process itself- well before any Jews came to be, That is to say YHVH designed the universe itself (The sun and moon and the whole planetary system) in order to point to and regulate the festivals, I taught one Shabbat, that these Jews like Moshe, Avraham did not have a wonderful Jewish calendar like we have to help us remember the feast, they were given an eternal calendar, the changing seasons and illuminating times to show them thee appointed feast, moedim. Thus the Moedims are first and foremost apart of the creative order, not merely apart of the Brit made with Israel at Sinai, secondly the Torah of Yah explicitly states that the Moedim are to remain throughout all the generations continuously forever of Israel. Shabbat- Ex 31.16- Pesach-HagHaMatzot- Ex 12.14,17,42- Shavout- Lev 23.41/ Rosch Hashanah- Yom HaKippurim- Lev 23.31- Sukkot- Lev 23.41 Etc. Therefore rather for an Israelite or for one attached(ger) to Israel through faith, there is to be one Torah for all- Num 15.16,29- Lev 16.29 -The implication is if Israel is commanded to do and keep the Moedim of YHVH throughout her generations, then the Gerim who are attached coverts to Israel through the faith of Avraham, Yitzchak, Ya'akov and his Moshiach Yeshua and equally privileged to keep YHVH'S appointed times. The scriptures are clear that the victory of YHVH in the end time is manifest by his people, both Israel(Born ) and Israel(Ger) and they shall worship together- consider the prophecy of Isaiah, quoted by Yeshua as he cleared the temple mount, he said For my bayith will be called a bayith of Tefillah for all people(nations, gerim) Isaiah 56.7- Matt 23.13 -For my house will be called a house of prayer for all people. Rabbi Rick Chaimberlin in his Yom T'ruah article as seen on www.petahtikvah.com states We are introduced to the so called “feast of Israel” in Lev 23. This is really a misnomer, because in scripture the Holy days are never called “The Feast of Israel” It might be more accurate to call them “ The feast of YHVH” which would be more accurately translated “Appointed times of YHVH.” We will stop our quote at that period. The Moedim will reveal Yeshua Ha'Mashiachs return according to the records. If we study the ancient biblical calender and then look forward on that same calendar it brings us to an end. The prophet Yoel spoke of the black suns and the blood red moons(Rosh Chodesh)before the end, before Mashiach return, we don't no when this time will come, but we do it will fulfill a Moedim , a season of YHVH'S appointed time, since moedim is centered on the concept of time, timing- that timing is kind of expressed in the meanings stated now 1.Edayin Then- 2.Zmah- Time appointed 3.Iddah- set time, yearly 4.Shebeth- rest (shabbat) What is Time? Generally when time is discussed in philosophy or in science including the works of classical Jewish views, it is understood as movement, or change, the movement of the planets, the ticking of a clock- as long as these things occur, there is time, if they cease, time ceases. In other words time is no more than the occurrence of physical events. In this paradigm once we accept the creation of shamayim and he'eretz (Exnihilo) It is simple conclusion that time began then as well, since time is no more than the events of the cosmos. The facts that we cannot fathom an absence of time is irrelevant, after all neither can we fathom an absence of heaven and the earth. In other words of space and matter in this way, Maimonides and most of the classic Jewish philosophers determine contrary to Aristotle. That time is a creation with a beginning (Moedim Elohim) Time is a parameter of existence, time is immeasurable just as any object is not known in its essence by its measurement, so too with time, knowledge of change, movements, events. These are all measurements of time, any event presumes the existence of a continuum of time, in which that event occurs, To say that before there was nothing and then there was, already implies the existence of time(creations) thus creation presumes time and not the other way around. Is Time Eternal? In the sefer HaIkarim by Rabbi Yosef Albo- He interprets Maimonides in his study called Moreh Nevuchim as implying that this essential continuum of time, may be eternal without beginning, Beginning means so you can understand that it isn't a starting point, but a continuous reference, When Torah say beginning it is a continuous process of something prior done, not a starting point and i think webster understood that. Beginning: To commence to enter on-an early stage, starting, the time or place of starting Which is different from originating at a point where we see Yah placing seed, tree, and fowl- at the point of creating then it is an originating reference, but creation and creating are not the same references, we see points of creations and referencing of creating, nothing can create of itself, it can make or duplicate for only Yah can create. The resolution of the essential aspect of time was created void at the initial point of creation, The implication of this view is profound. In general when the Jewish medieval philosophers wished to logically demonstrate that the universe began they point to its essentially temporal nature as most do. Never the less of most Jewish opinions about time, time has no beginning for when we discover it's beginning from the framework of our minds something else has already prior conceived, so then when we read Genesis 1. we see beginning which beginning we don't see unless we really read the scripture accurately and each word and each connotation, such as having water before water was created, or having this sphere of cosmogony without having a physical existence that we would identify with, so the question is then when we read Genesis 1. which creation are we in? From my studies from a Judaic point and some from other references believe creation could have been thousands of years, or one day (Which is wrong)some think it could have been millions of years or trillions of years, I think it was six days and then Shabbat but i also think that the very first seventeen words which are In the beginning God(YHVH) Here is my question to you educated few- When is a beginning ? If you cracked that code then you are truly a genius, well from my research beginning is a time when you start recording what already took place or in reference to YHVH the creations he created, how many years- I don't know and no body else either! We do realize that the moedim were put in place through the creative process or through the creations process of creos and that time set forward the feast of YHVH and further more they prepare the way of Yeshua and will be observed continuously after Yeshua returns as Ariel(Lion of the tribe of Judah) in the Yemei Ha'mashiach Acharit Ha'Yamin -The Messianic Era and end of days. *Parashah Vayikra* ______________________________________ Torah: Vayikra 1.1-5 HafTorah: Yesha'yahu 43.21-44 Tehillim 104.19-24 {Theme: The Korban was a type of yeshua-till he came} The word Vayikra means: He called, vayikra is also called: Torat Kohanim- The laws of the priest(Cohanim) It largely deals with the Korbanos (Offering)that are brought in the Miskhan (Tent of Meetings, Tabernacle) The first group of offering is called: Olah- burnt offering, The animal is brought to the entrance of the Miskhan, the one who brought the offering set his hands on the animal, It is slaughtered and the Kohen sprinkles( Kippurim) it's blood on the Altar. The animal is skinned and cut in pieces. The pieces are arranged, washed and burned on the Altar and the remainder is eaten by the Kohanim. THE PROHIBITION: is the offering can't have any Chametz and honey in it- Leviticus 2.11 We know Chametz stands for sin, so sin can't be mingeld with Tshuvah. What about Honey? One commentator stated that this debash symbolizes Humanism, I think another thought is the honey was prior reserved as a promise, YHVH wasn't mixing a promise with Tshuvah, at least the ideal of honey in Exodus 33.3/ Exodus 3.8- plus there is about another twenty or more scriptures which i will give you later. A land flowing with Milk(gala) and Honey(dbash, meli) The third point, also a striking feature of honey's legacy in Jewish culture is that as a testament to the high value put on this particular food, The interpreters of the Jewish dietary laws have apparently made this reflection at this time, that anything taken from an unclean animal is forbidden, The classic teaching found in the rabbinical literature is that bees do not produce honey, but simply transport the nectar of flowers and store it as honey in their hives, not to mention the ancient semites attributed honey to the idol god Astarte, the pagan goddess of sexuality, fertility Etc. The Peace offering-part of which is burnt on the Altar and part of which is eaten which comes from either Sheep, Cattle, Goat, Pigeon, Dove there are three kinds of peace offerings 1.The Thanks offering (Shelamim) 2.The votive offering 3.The free will offering The thanksgiving offering: is a response to acts of divine benevolence The Votive offering: is an offering prompted by fulfilling Mitzvot, granting petitions The Free will offering: is an offering prompted by voluntary contributions Vayikra deals with Korbanos- but there is a large section on Averah- Sin, Transgression- Yetzer Ra, Yetzer Tov- Purity and Impurity, or Impureness and pureness, The korban is not just mentioned in Torah- We see Korban in Matthew 5.23 Also. This Korban was and is a sacrifice, offering and a gift- The Hebrew word for korban comes from the root word Korav- meaning to come close, to come close again to YHVH. The offering was meant to bring Bnai Yisrael back to YHVH from sin. There are five types of Korbanot in Torah regarding each type of sacrifice. 1.Olah- Burnt Offering 2.Minchah- Meal Offering 3.Shelamin -Peace Offering 4.Chatat- Sin Offering 5.Asham- Guilt Offering We see this Korban for the second time in a New Testament- Brit Chadashah reference in Romans 12.1 of this Brit Ha'Mikdash- Temple within us, which is called Korban Chai- Living sacrifice, We are to continue offering up Korban even presently, Korban of self continuously before YHVH, The perfect lamb has come, and his coming hasn't done away with sin, if you don't let him remove me through Teshuvah, Tefillah, Davening, If you don't daven how can it be removed, If his coming has taken away sin, then it would be no sin, no the korban is inside, you must desire to offer this offering up of Teshuvah (repentance) and allow his Ruach Hokodesh to remove sin from your life, but if you are not willing even the Paschal Lamb Yeshua won't take your sins away, you must want him, and you must confess to him and offer up your own Korban, there isn't a need for the Kohanim to daven for you, of to burn the Olah for you, you have direct access to Yeshua yourself and he can move your sins through your own sacrificing of yourself for him, to him, for his glory, Yes he died for sin, but everyone wont accept him- some will die with sin, because they did not want this Korban which he fulfilled: The Paschal lamb is a Korban also of what's called: The Pesach sacrifice- The Korban was a type of Yeshua to come, of the 613 Mitzvot- 100 of them is on Korbanot excluding those Mitzvots that cover actual Temple sacrifices. The additional references of this Debash and Gala- Milk and Honey can be seen in Exodus 13.5/ Leviticus 20.24/ Numbers 13.27/ Numbers 14.8/ Numbers 16.13-14/ Deuteronomy 6.3/ Deuteronomy 11.9/ Deuteronomy 26.9/ Deuteronomy 26.15/ Deuteronomy 15/ Deuteronomy 27.3/ Deuteronomy 31.20/ Joshua 5.6/ Song of Solomon 4.11/ Song of Solomon 5.1/ Jeremiah 11.5/ Isaiah 7.22/ Jeremiah 32.22/ Ezekiel 20.6/ Ezekiel 20.15 If you would like the Hebrew prayer for the Rosh Chodesh- email me and i will forward it to you, the version that i have. © Copyright 2009 Mind Changing Ministries Beit Yeshua All rights reserved.
