I am the author accused of plagerizing the work of deceased author David Gemmel, explanation and first review on Of Atlantis below

I am still around and writing with two books ready for release next month. All this crap about plagiarism caused me to have another stroke, most comments came from realms of fantasy. On the advice of my publicist, I let derogatory remarks go in one ear and out the other until now. I am innocent and Of Atlantis WILL prevail. If people at rof don't stop harassing me, I will have my attorney contact you, with my hypertension I'm not suppose to have any stress. Well, mouths caused me another stroke. We are not talking plagiarism now, we are talking my life. Wrongful death is very serious and if something happens to me my husband will take this coarse of action. I think if I were you I would say something to the members of rof, before it is too late. I am enclosing a derogatory remark from my web site. You don't have to worry about me any longer in your forum, I know when I'm not welcome and God forgive those that are so so wrong.

You Aren't as clever as you think you are. This is plagarism. Plain and simple. I don't believe you, you're a fraud and you've been proven to be one. You ripped off that work. Funny how on evey board you pop up on...nobody believes you. I notice you only show up on boards where you can get your massive ego stroked or where you think noone has heard of you. Which is why I have yet to see you pop up on Realms of Fantasy Board. You KNOW they won't tolerate you and will expose you for the fraud you ARE.

You haven't seen me lately because some one from the forum left me a message, saying I was banned and no longer welcome there. Melissa, get real, you have read my poetry, do you think I would need to stoop low enough to steal another author's work? Especially some one deceased, to me that is sacrilegious. I would never desecrate the memory of some one deceased. I started Of Atlantis over about 7 times, during that time I was approached by Christopher Hill with a promise of representation. Each prologue I wrote just wasn't good enough for him, him saying I needed to be more prolific in the usage of the old king's English, especially in book one. I live in the U.S., Christopher was from Scotland, so I thought he would be perfect in helping me with this, since he was in the U. K. So, I hired him as a ghost writer specifically for this purpose. Then he gave me the plagiarized prologue. I had never heard of David Gemmel or Dark Prince until October. At first I said the work was mine because I had no earthly idea to what Christopher had done. Of Atlantis is a five volume fantasy series, my publicist thinks we will make the best seller list regardless of all the negativity. The positive though has always out weighed the negative. I have a God given talent and I swear before God almighty, I would never do what I have been accused of. Please don't judge me too harshly.

Thanks for letting me ramble,
Lanaia

Of Atlantis, I think it is absolutely beautiful. I have to offer a caveat here - this is not my genera. Historical fiction, historical romance, historical fantasy - I have never attempted to write any of it. I am strictly American Hardboiled. I agree with Raymond Chandler, don't write about anything you haven't slugged in the nose. Having said that, your characters are brilliantly drawn. The descriptive passages are sensuous and tangible. The story runs on its own logic, as if it wrote itself. The Native Americans believe that you know. They say that when a story finds an author worthy, it taps them on shoulder.

I don't know what that mental midget Hill plagiarized, but he did not plagiarize your talent. This is good Lanaia, really good. Your deserve all the good that comes from it.

Blessings,
