Newcomer vocalist cum songwriter Mark McLaughlin has been reported to land a song in the upcoming BIO franchise. Here's the news, taken straight from the press release.
NEW YORK, NY -- Songwriter, vocalist Mark McLaughlin wrote and performed a song that will be featured in the new movie “Bring It On: Fight To The Finish” in theaters Nationwide summer '09, Marks vocals will be featured in the movie during a scene and on the Movie soundtrack, this is Marks first Movie placement and first Major song 20 credit as well.
Some of the cast in the movie are Interscope/myspace recording artist Christina Milian, Nikki Soohoo and Rachel Brook Smith. The Director is Billie Woodruff noted for directing many videos for a number of R&B and hip-hop artists such as Joe, Back Street Boys, Toni Braxton and Luther Vandross. The movie 'Bring it on' is based on a cheerleading competition but will have explosive dance scenes this time around which made it perfect for Mark McLaughlin to submit his music (which consist of R&B, Hip Hop, Pop) and succeeded in landing a placement for the movie.
Mark is also working on his debut album titled ‘Mark The Name Sounds Big McLaughlin' with guest appearances from Atlantic records recording artist Maino and Cash Money artist Glasses Malone. Mark plans to release his first official single alongside the major promotion “Bring It On: Fight to the Finish” will receive.
Marks turning point:
