Bye, blogger...
Bye, cyworld...

The last one is so buggy I probably won't consider going back until they've managed to fix everything (if they ever do).

Blogger just basically bored me. True, there's a lot of templates out for blogger but it's a hassle having to fix/edit one everytime you download on blogskins plus the comment links aren't always working.

Oh well.

I'm swamped with homework and we are approaching our final week so I probably won't be able to blog often. I'll be back as soon as I can.

Hopefully.

Those who are waiting for updates at my fanfiction blog better have a little patience.

On top of it all, work is getting be more annoying than ever. Nakaka walang gana na( That's Tagalog or Filipino for 'losing motivation/enthusiasm). I thought this job was great a year before until they started a bunch of really foolish and worthless so-called 'policies'.

I don't even know why I'm still working my butt off for this "biatch" (there, I said it so sue me). I think it's time to call my counselor.

There's one more reason that proves my boss is a cold fish.

One of our temps just notified her that she would be resigning. Here's what the boss's immediate response was as she told me through misty, red eyes.

Okay, so when's your last day?"

Ugh. Imagine working for such a company for a year or even if it's just 5 months and getting an answer like that. As if they could hardly wait for you to leave.

Not even a simple thank you, an "I'm sorry to hear that..." , or even asking a question as to why to sudden decision.

And mind you, that co-worker happens to be one of our hard working temps.

Well, if it's because she's used to the idea of people coming and going, then maybe she should start trying to find out why people come in and leave her department every so often.

She only thinks she's already doing things right. What she thinks is right.

She didn't come to work today.

And I don't blame her. She's probably counting the days till she leaves.

Who wouldn't?

On the bright side, I'm at home with my new Gateway Core I duo Media Center desktop pc with the 19" Viewsonic flat panel that I got from Office Depot.

I personally liked the Viewsonic screen better than Gateways. Both were LCD, surprisingly, however, Viewsonic had a brighter widescreen. So the rave reviews weren't lying, after all.

And to think I got the whole thing for just a little over a thousand. My uncle got a similar desktop months earlier but it cost him about 1500 bucks. I think it's because he added a printer and other accessories to it.

Personally, I'd never buy something wouldn't really need. Seems like every stuff we buy these days, particularly computers comes with some pricey warranty or some other.

It's amazing how a computer advertised for $699 can get up to 1000 if you're, er, not careful. I think there should be a crash course on smart buying for all adults especially the college students.

Smart buying is actually part common sense, come to think of it. I mean, who wouldn't know that you don't have pay 30 something for warranties against spills, drops etc.?

Why do people drink coffee and have cake on their laptops anyway?

lilyrach Shocking welcome Aug 28th, 2006 12:47:16 am - Subscribe
I thought I was ready for my next block of classes.

Why is it that some professors' idea of a welcome to class is putting up a notice of your first writing assignment (350-100 words) due on the last day of the same week while other professors is to initiate friendly introductions first?

Hmph.

Aughhhhhhhhh!
