Jim and I haven't been to a movie in awhile mainly because we haven't thought there hasn't been anything worth seeing in theaters, but Saturday night thats what we decided to do. We originally wanted to see The Guardian with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher, but it was only rated PG-13. Not to say that we don't like PG-13 movies, but we like to see rated R movies in the theater because there are not as many crazy, annoying teenagers, especially on Friday and Saturday nights! The only rated R movie available at the closest theater to us; The Departed, with Leonardo DeCaprio, Matt Damon, and Jack Nicholson. I didn't think Jim would want to see it because it has Leo in it, but I was shocked to find that he'd been wanteing to see it, and excited because I love Leo! In my maid of honor's toast at my wedding, she even mentioned that I had finally found my Leonardo DeCaprio and she would eventually find her Ben Afleck. Anyway, The Departed was a really good movie. It wasn't what I expected but I would definitley see it again. And Leo is HOT! (Some may disagree with me, but I've always liked him) It was a really long move (152 minutes) but it was worth it. So if you're debating going to see it, you have my vote!<

Jim and I have been wanting a digital camera for awhile, so we've looked off and on, but never found anything that really stuck out at us. But since we're in the process of purchasing our first home we thought it would be good for use to take pictures of the condition it is in now and how it looks after we're done fixing it up, etc. So last night I went online in search of a camera. I currently have a 35mm Nikon camera that I love so I limited my searching to Nikon cameras and found the Nikon Coolpix L3. It's a cute little camera thats not too big and not too small with a 1 in., 2.4 in. height, 3.6 width, and weighing only 4.2 oz. It has a 5.1mp resolution, 3x optical, and 4x digital zoom, 2 in. LCD, various shooting programs (like landscape, portrait, panorama, etc.), special effects (like black & white, sepia etc.), movie mode, and more! I originally found it at Target.com, but went ahead and looked to see if they had it at Walmart.com. It was almost $15 cheeper so I decided to order it! I went ahead and paid the extra $ to have it shipped in 2-3 days which was kinda pricey but Jim wants to take it on Thursday to have the furnace cleaned. We'll be sure to let you know how it works!

It's that time of year again and I'm excited! I've participated in the Race-For-The-Cure For Breast Cancer the last four years. Since I had cancer when I was 13, I have a high chance of having another kind in the future. SO I figure if I support the cause now, maybe by the time I get breast cancer (if I even do) they will have a cure. And what I think is awesome is that Jim fully supports me and purpose! He's even participated with me the past 2 years!

Nicholas Sparks is my all-time favorite author and I am so excited to hear that he has a new book due to come out October 20th! If you're not familure with who he is, books he has written include Message In A Bottle, A Walk to Remember, and The Notebook which have been turned into films. I've read all of his books except Three Weeks With My Brother. It is his only non-fiction book and I have heard both good and bad things about it, so I guess thats why I've been procrastinating reading it. I even got his autograph in person when he was at the Tattered Cover in Highlands Ranch! =0) Anyway, he's a great writer and I highly reccommend any and all of his books! Check out www.nicholassparks.com to check out all the books he has written!

That was so much fun! Getting dressed up and going downtown! It was kinda weird thought because it was at 1:00 in the afternoon. It would have been funner if it was at night, but I'm not compaining! =0) It was a good show, not as good as I remember last time but it was still good. It seemed like they changed a couple things, although I can't give specifics. However, Jim seemed to like it, and I would definitley go see it again! We did both decide that we didn't like the Timon and Pumba costumes because they didn't seem to fit with the costumes of all the other characters. They were just 2 cartoon costumes in the middle of authentic/handmade looking costumes. Pumba's costume didn't look nearly as much like a cartoon as Timon's though. In my opinion it was kinda a big thorn in the middle of a rose bush. But anyway all in all it was really good and I highly reccomend it! Plus to add a cherry on top, I found out about some other shows that will be playing there soon that I want to go see!
